Phil Maltby will be remembered by players and
fans of the Cavaliers as the fat b*****d with
more talent in his little finger than he had in the
rest of his body ! Phil was a vital member of the
team......if he wasn`t around there wasn`t anyone
to take the mickey out of.
Some of Scungers greatest contributions for the team:
The amazing socks supplied by Maltby inc.
which lasted such a long time !
Who could forget the playing shirts Maltby inc.
supplied which looked like they were made from
someone`s net curtains with the numbers done
in lipstick !
And Scungers greatest moment,in a game against
the Severn Vale Royals,the stats man(who unfortunately
had brittle bones)was hit on the sidelines and suffered
a broken leg.Phil,seeing the poor man in pain,was worried
who was going to do the stats for the rest of the game and
actually asked the guy before he left for the hospital to show
him how they were done !
Phil would also coach the team for a couple of seasons,
and after the team folded,would coach the Southern
Seminoles for a while.
But after he left football Scunger would concentrate on
his other passion of acting.When he played,Phil had
some small parts in films that you might remember.
He was Marlon Brando`s body double in Apocalypse Now.
The reason it was so dark in all Brando`s scenes was
Phil`s huge ass obscured the lights.One of Phil`s
more famous roles was as Jabba the Hutt in the
Star Wars films.George Lucas liked Scunger for
the role,as Phil needed little makeup to look like
Jabba !
But the role that Phil is currantly making famous
is ......well the picture speaks for itself !
