Saturday August 25 , tragically R&B Singer/Actress Aaliyah died in a plane crash, the cessna 402 crashed shortly after take off at approximately 6:50pm, six people were killed instantly, three others died later due to their injuries.
Although Australia only first embraced Aaliyah after her single 'Try again' from the film 'Romeo must die'(aaliyah co-starred)rocketed its way into our Top 10, America had embraced her a lot earlier . Aaliyah has been pioneering the music industry since the age of 14, and has set music trends that other popular acts use quite often, Aaliyah was never one to follow...she always lead her fans on a musical journey, which made Aaliyah one of a kind, she will sorely be missed.

In the wake of the tragic death of R&B Singer/Actress Aaliyah, Warner Bros is rumoured to be cutting the scenes Aaliyah has already filmed for The Matrix 2 and re-casting the role. We would like to urge WB to honor the memory of Aaliyah's life and keep her scenes in The Matrix 2. Along with your help we hope to get Warner Bros to keep Aaliyah's memory alive.
