GUNUNG YONG YAP

In mid 1998, the people in this area are in a state of shock. A man in is found dead without his head. It is believed that a large Malayan Tiger has attacked him and ripped his head off for dinner. This brutal killing is caught on camera and shown everywhere in nearby towns, especially in Sungai Siput. However, this wouldn't stop outdoor enthusiast from pursuing their dreams into this unspoilt nature.

What you can expect from the trek

From Gunung Korbu, it is seen that Gunung Yong Yap is impossible to climb, because of its steep gradient near the top.
