Shotgun Sinners.

We've had women with handguns, women snipers, women with machine guns and now an article on women who arm themselves with shotguns. Some of these ladies are robbers and there are others who just like the big blast of a shotgun to further their evil plans.

It is back to the TV classic 'Renegade' episode entitled 'Bonnie and Claire' for the first set of images. Bank robbing babes in mini skirts - what more can you ask for in a TV episode? Well you might want one of them wielding a huge shotgun as they terrorize the bank staff and that is exactly what you get. The episode starred Mary Ellen Stuart (pictured) and Claire Yarlett as the ruthless duo.

Jennifer LopezA couple of years ago I saw a film which baffled me from start to finish. 'Perdita Durango' has all the earmarks of a conventional kidnap thriller but there's a whole strange subplot related to satanic cults running throughout the story. Mexican's second most famous actress Rosie Perez plays an accomplice to the film's main protagonist, Javier Bardem, who plays some sort of criminal cult leader. Like another film based in or about Mexico (El Topo) it is gory, unfathomable and intriguing at the same time. Rosie also gives a pretty mean performance as the gun toting bad girl.

It is back to the Wild West for the next combination of images. The first few are from the popular TV series 'Bonanza'. Could that  be Jack Lord (Hawaii Five O) as the bad guy? Whoever, the baddie has taken refuge with his love interest as the posse masses outside. The other two images are from the classic TV series 'Wild Wild West', a sci-fi influenced Western series. Looks like this mean lady has the drop on Artemus Gordon.

VegasYou may remember my review of 'Honest'. Basically it is terrible, unwatchable, cack but that's not going to stop me including a few images of the shotgun heist. So it is back to the 1960's as the girl gang (played by the talentless Appleton sisters) gate crash a pretentious art gallery much to the bemusement of the patrons.

Sticking with the sixties theme here are a few images from the British TV series 'Heartbeat'. This is a gentle police series set in rural England some time in the sixties. In this episode the tranquility of the countryside is interrupted by a couple of armed robbers - an early role for one of the new generation of British TV series bad girls Eva Pope (not seen here). Eva's chosen weapon was a revolver but her fellow robber is apprehended by this sawn off shotgun lady.
