Saundra Santiago starred on the Daytime soap opera, Guiding Light. She played the part of Carmen Santos, the head of the mob. Carmen was basically disliked by all in Springfield, except Ben Warren who was shot and killed, and Prince Edmund, who was a villain to everyone else in town. Carmen was having problems with her children, Pilar and Danny. She didn't like Danny's wife, Michelle, and wanted her out of the family. When Michelle's biological mother, Claire Ramsey, came to town, Carmen and Claire teamed up to separate Michelle and Danny. When Carmen was let out of jail for one night, she went to be with Michelle and Danny. While there, Carmen was show and Claire gave her a shot and pronounced her dead. Saundra Santiago was let go from Guiding Light, a few months short of her contract running out. There were no hard feeling between Saundra and Guiding Light. In many fans opinions, the door was left wide open for Saundra Santiago to come back and terrorize Springfield as Carmen Santos once again.

Saundra is on the hit HBO series The Sopranos, it is on Sunday nights at 8:00p.m. She plays Jeannie/Joan Cusamano.
