December 21, 2002
Christmas has come four days early to the Warehouse, as Download Central's fourth title has just been uploaded. We're making this holiday a lot more merry (M-E-R-R-Y) with the release of Lingo. Also, a note to Card Sharks fans: mark your calendars for December 30, because if my calculations are correct, the winner of the 1979 Home Viewer Sweepstakes will take her shot at the Money Cards.
All of us at Game Show Warehouse (which is I) wish you a happy and safe holiday season. I'll see you all in 2003 for more games.

Wow, December already. Seems like yesterday we were ringing in 2002, now it's time to stock up on 2003 calendars. As promised, Download Central now has its own page. However, I will leave the individual links to each game on the main page for now. Also, my Is it just me archive now has its own directory, and some grammatical mistakes and other typos in the latest column have been fixed.
November 27, 2002
Before the end of '02, I'm planning a few new features. Soon, Download Central will have its own page, which will include news on upcoming releases and updates. Also, watch for information on how you can be a part of this page.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from the Game Show Warehouse.
November 3, 2002
Card Sharks fans and game show historians, mark your calendars for November 9. By my calculations, that's when GSN revisits Super Greed contestant Phyllis Harris' game show debut on CS. I'm also working on a couple of new games for Download Central, including Lingo. Finally, since one random musing isn't enough to warrant a whole column: is it just me or does the keyboard track of Duran Duran's 1983 hit Rio remind me of the theme from Hit Man, a short-lived game show from that same year?
October 9, 2002
New additions in this update include a couple of Card Sharks poems, including the only opening poem ever recited in the CBS era, and my NHL preview and my fantasy cast for Grease in the latest Is it just me... column.
September 29, 2002
My eighteenth Is it Just Me... column is now up, and it includes my thoughts on the new game show season. I also fixed some links and removed a few defunct ones. And the dollar sign wallpaper is back. :-) If anyone has any ideas for site enhancements or new features, let me know.
September 10, 2002
As I type this, what I call Rememberance Day is only minutes away. In memorium, the dollar-sign wallpaper that has adorned this page since its creation has been replaced by black until the next update. My thoughts on the aftermath of 9-11-01 and much more in my latest Is it Just Me... column.
August 1, 2002
A new shipment of links has arrived at the Warehouse. Included: bone up on your Lingo, and check out three funny made-for-web movies.
July 17, 2002
The comment I get most often is that the chips in my PL!NKO game go waaaay too fast. Well, I have finally got around to making that necessary tweak, and version 1.3 is now out.
A couple notes regarding the Card Sharks section: the HTML code of the 1979 episode guide contains commented-out spoilers. Now through July 26, Game Show Network is showing episodes of CS that my sister taped for me during the last cycle. One thing I will say: watch for a bad joke and worse delivery. Secondly, per reader request, a new section will open soon.
Finally, I have four ideas for new games, two in the design stages, one in the planning stage, and one that could be out very soon. Stay tuned.
June 30, 2002
It's all about links in this update. Eight new links added and two removed, including the Sweeps Derby. Also, the three fastest risers of the first half of 2002, political overcorrectness, and more in the latest Is it Just Me... column.
June 18, 2002
Congrats to the Detroit Red Wings and the Los Angeles Lakers on their respective championships. My thoughts plus a two-time game show contestant and fellow Michigander in my latest Is it Just Me... column. Also, new shipments of links and Card Sharks episode summaries has arrived.

Today marks a triple anniversary for me. It is the one-year anniversary of the Game Show Warehouse. To see how it evolved the last twelve months, go to The Internet Archive Building and enter http://webrookie.multiservers.com in the text box. The day I opened the site is also the exact same day my now-supervisor at work gave me the "when can you start?" call. When I designed the GSW, I didn't anticipate spending last summer as a working man. I just needed a site to house my Plinko game. Lastly, my sister in Indiana, a dollar store co-owner and new mother, turns 30 today.
Not a lot of celebration around here, though. I'm trying to keep it as low-key as possible, but I will mention that I have finally opened a links page. I only have a couple of links right now, but you've seen how this site grew in the last four months.
April 27, 2002
The newest Is it just me... column is possibly my longest to date. As promised, my critique on Game Show Network's news additions is here, as well as a connection between two car crash victims even John Edward wouldn't believe. Plus I give my advice to ABC and NBC on what to do with their reality game shows (translation: what they are NOT going to do). Also, I noticed my revivals page is sorely out of date, so I made to few touch-ups.

Right now, I'm on vacation, and not by my choice. At work, we're remodeling our office, and we haven't been able to settle on a temporary office for me. Not much in the way of site news, except to say that version 2.0 of The Mole is indefinately on hold. This project hasn't generated a lot of interest anyway, but if I get at least five e-mails from interested people, I'll consider getting back to it (no fair e-mailing me five times, Johnny :-p).
May sweeps begin on Thursday, so the Sweeps Derby is back on. The recession in the ad market makes this sweep period, traditionally a make-or-break for shows on the bubble, more important than ever. Follow the race for ad rates here.
Later in the week, I'll share my thoughts on classic Hollywood Squares and Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck in my next IIJM column. Finally, please understand that although the Sweeps Derby page will be updated regularly, updates to this site will be sparse again for a while. By Thursday, I'll be back to work, and unlike school, there are no summer vacations. And if somehow I do get one, I'll take it very seriously.
March 26, 2002
Since the site re-opened in January, I have been logging my updates on a page I've mainly kept on my hard drive. The time has come for me to upload this page to the site. Now you can see how the site has grown over the last 2½ months.
If you've been watching Game Show Network, you'll know that Card Sharks rang in 1979 today. To this extent, a seperate page for 1979 has also been uploaded.
Also, a new Is It Just Me... column is up, featuring my belated thoughts on the Chuck Jones era and my Major League Baseball predictions. Finally, because somebody has to do it, I've added a rulesheet for All New 3's a Crowd to the GSN Rulesheets department. You can find information on the upcoming Whammy! just about everyplace else.
March 10, 2002
March Madness is about to begin, but it's already underway here at the Warehouse, with a number of updates. First off, episode 9 of Auction finally took place, albeit without me. Johnny e-mailed me the transcript, which you'll find in the Auction section. I also have another chat transcript from a new game developed by Don Smith called "Climb the Ladder" in the transcripts section.
Five weeks ago, I annonuced plans for a third game for Download Central. The time has come to unveil my latest creation...WHEW! And once you get the hang of it, try your luck at the net version by clicking here.
Finally, some time back I brought up about my lack of a links page. After having just posted a link above, here's another site I recommend: FlashGames. The site is co-owned by Dan Berger, who assisted with PLINKO. You might also find your links here, but the games kick ***. If you have a good game show site and a reason for me to have a links page, e-mail me using the link below.
February 15, 2002
Another Valentine's Day has come and gone. As the countdown to St. Patrick's Day begins, find out which veteran game show host has a busy Valentine's week in my latest Is it Just Me... column. Also, I am back on ICQ, with a new account number. For contact information plus the first game show chat transcipt since my comeback, see the ICQ transcripts page.
February 5, 2002
In my second Is it Just Me... column, I discovered a bigger jinx than the cover of that sports magazine--me. For the third straight year, the team I picked to win the Super Bowl lost.
It's a good thing I don't bet, but I'm sure there are a lot of gamblers who wish they invested in Enron--as little as it is, there's a chance of getting some money back!
In the coming days, keep your eye on Download Central. The two current games are being polished up, and there's a third game on the way! Stay tuned...
New additions: Plinko v1.2 uploaded

I promised a new addition to new site, and here it is: The February Sweeps Derby! Follow the networks' race for higher advertising rates here.
New additions: February Sweeps Derby; e-mail link fixed on CS episode guide
January 24, 2002
Another Is it Just Me column is now up. Among other things, I discuss this new-look front page, TV tricks, and GSN's future. BTW, I hope to open a new branch of my site this weekend, just in time for sweeps.
New additions: new IIJM column, update CS episode guide, and fixed some broken links
