About Malik's American name. I believe it's going to be Marik. I'M NOT SURE, SO IF IT ISN'T DON'T SUE ME! It's a LOT better then Terrance, but I have no idea why they even bother changing if it's only one letter.....
(SPOILER!)
Since I spend most of my Internet time looking at Yu-Gi-Oh stuff, I saw one of those preview video clips, and it had Kaiba vs. Jounouchi (Joey) in it! It also showed Yami Malik throwing the Millennium Rod at Anzu's (Tea), and she looked like she was trying to use it (She was holding it, and pointing at someone). Then, it showed Jounouchi with a Blue Eyes White Dragon (I have no idea how. Maybe he somehow got control of it?) and it attacked, and another BEWD attacked (You know, it's slashed in the middle diagonally, and it shows two screens at the same time? Yeah, that's what happened......). Then, the announcer person said the title (The rest was in Japanese, but they say the name of the episode in English.). It was Blue Eyes White Dragon vs. Blue Eyes White Dragon.
(Spoiler Follow-Up)
Actually, Jounouchi doesn't lose to Haga (Weevil).
He does lose his Red Eyes to a Rare Hunter, but not Haga.
He kicks his butt instead.
(Spoiler Follow-Up)
Yes, everyone believed Esper Roba was a physic. However, his younger brothers were looking at Jounouchi's cards with a pair of binoculars, and then telling Roba the cards with a walkie talkie. Of course, Roba had a minature ear-thingy in his ear so that no one would see it and know that he was cheating. Yugi (Yami, actually) found out that Roba was cheating, as well as Mokuba. He wanted to expel Roba, but his brothers asked him not to. So, he let them go. Jounouchi also realized he was cheating somehow when he activated Angel and Demon Die, while Roba was told they were two Angel Die. Jounouchi won the duel (Of course, he had to do more then use Angel/Demon Die, but I won't give that away.), and Roba said he only cheated to win and gain respect. But, he vowed never to cheat again, and promised Jou that he will win his Android Pshyco Shocker fair and square
(SPOILER!!!)
Actually, the finalists are Malik and Yami/Yugi. Well, it is in the manga. Malik is defeated (Of course) and gives Yami his Rod, God Card (Ra), and the Millenium Ring (I know, Ryou's the owner, but something happened that I won't give away, but Malik had the Ring for a while.). And, even though people say Ryou's (Bakura) dead or something, he's not. He was seen, alive and well in the manga.
(SPOILER!!!)
About that Shizuka/Kaiba thing....I don't think it's going to be happening (It might, but not very likely). But that's my opinion. ^_^
I hear there's going to be another season after Battle City. O_o In the manga anyways......It might not air on T.V. But, we still have a while until Battle City ends. (Thanks to 4Kids taking their sweet time....) Also, Yugi/Yami eventually gains Obelisk. This was not suppose to happen, as Ishizu ( I found out that that's her Japanese name. Just don't pronounce that u.) was supposed to beat Kaiba and get back Obelisk (Remember, Ishizu only let Kaiba borrow Obelisk, not keep it forever.) But, Kaiba saw a vision of his past self sacrificing a girl to the Blue Eyes White Dragon. (Thanks to the Millennium Rod.....I think) So, he sacrificed Obelisk to the BEWD, and won the duel. (I don't know how, but if he used Obelisk, he would have lost). The future was then changed, and the Millennium Tauk lost its power.
(SPOILER!!!)
I'm afraid Karina is right. After closer examination, Yugi and Kaiba suare off in the SEMI finals and not the finals,
but it still lasts 8 episodes. Sorry for misleading everyone ^^;;
(SPOILER!!!)
Through ingineous research I've found out the 8 finalists and who they face in Battle city. Here they are:About Ryou's voice. Matsumoto Rica did his voice during Battle City and Battle Ship. Inoue You only did it during Duelist Kingdom. ^_^;
Yeah. Battle Ship is the place the eight finalists dueled. ^_^; And I have a spoiler.....
SPOILER!!!
Yeah, what Gina Kaiba said is true. (Except I've seen his name spelled Rishid/Lishid, and not Rashid/Lashid. O_o) Ishtahl (that's their dad) tried to kill Rishid/Lishid because he let Marik go outside with Ishizu, when he was forbidden to leave the underground place where they lived. (Remember, they were part of the Grave Keepers.) Ishtahl eventually found out, and when Marik and Ishizu returned, he found his father trying to kill Rishid/Lishid because of it. That is also when Yami Marik was born. I won't give anything else away, though, but that's when Marik began to hate Yami Yugi (or the Pharaoh, as they call him, I think.) and wanted him dead (Even though he is already....) and become the new pharaoh.
(SPOILER!!!)
Here are the names of Several new Episodes you don't have on that gallery list. I thought I'd give you some new ones...Thanks to the DVDs I ordered, I was able to see the episode Yugi's Girl was talking about. Actually, Pegasus didn't appear in person. Shadii was telling Yugi and Yami of the God Cards' origins. So, it was actually a kind of a flashback. It took place before Duelist Kingdom, so Pegasus still has his Millennium Eye.
Also, I said before, that in the manga, Ryou's body is restored, right? Well, I saw a preview thing for the anime (Yes, Battle City is officially over in Japan.) and it showed Ryou (no, NOT Yami Bakura.) so I assume that he's also alive and well in the anime now. ^_^;
MAJOR SPOILERS!!! TURN AWAY, NOW!!!
Malik does kind a of take over Ryou/Bakura. (Yami Bakura) He somehow is able to kind a be in Bakura's body (Eh, can't really explain.) and talk to him mentally and such. (But Bakura seems to say "urusai" which means shut up in Japanese to Malik more than actually talk to him. -_-;) Malik also takes control of Anzu from time to time. One time that I can remember, is to return the Millennium Ring to Bakura, thus awakening him after he fell unconscious after his duel with Yami. (Then the whole Yami no Duel [Duel of Darkness] thing.....) He also took over Anzu AFTER the duel, when Bakura was beaten. He warned Isis to hide Rishid, for Yami Malik wants to kill him. (He most likely took control again, but if he did, it's beyond my knowledge. However, I suspect he took over during the "BEWD vs. BEWD episode. Look at my very first spoiler for a little more info.)
Mai, on the over hand, was never controlled. Something did happen to her, though. During her duel with Yami Malik, he said that she was a good enough sacrafice for the Shadow Realm or something, thus turning the duel in a Yami no Duel. He found out what Mai feared most: loneliness. So he tormented her by making her lose memories of her friends for each of her monster that was destroyed. The first to go was Anzu. The second was.....Jounouchi. However, Yami was somehow able to talk to her (and making Y. Malik mad. >:P) and tell her to not fall for Y. Malik's illusions. Now Mai was able to get her monsters destroyed without losing any memories. Anyhow, she lost the duel, when she summoned Ra, and without realizing it, doing Y. Malik a huge favor. She could not speak Hieratic. Y. Malik did. Now Mai got chained to this wall thing (Eh, too long to explain.) and wide open to an attack from Ra. However, the attack will most likely kill her. So Jou got involved, trying to free Mai. Of course, Mai doesn't remember him. So she asks who he is. Jou is shocked, to say the very least. After Jou talked a little bit (and some fluff. ^_^;) Mai slowly regains her memories of Jou. But that doesn't matter, as Ra attacked. Then, BLAM! Yami got in the way, and took Ra's assult. Even though he saved Mai's life, he did not save her from her punishment. Yami Malik tormented her once more with loneliness. He trapped her inside a glass pyramid thing (like an hourglass) overlooking a beach with everyone having fun.......Except her. And as she gets more and more sand buried on her, she loses more and more of her memory......And even to the point where she wonders why she lives. Heck, I bet to the point where she DIES.
And Shizuka (Serenity) DOES duel someone. (I remember someone saying this, but not being sure.) Not on Battle Ship though. Nope. In that virtual reality thing Noah invented. (coughcoughCOPIEDcoughcough) And Shizkua, Otogi (Duke), and Honda (Tristan) all dueled one of the Big 5 in disguise. And it was actually Shizuka's monster that defeats the Big 5 person.
Actually, Mike B., you are slightly inaccurate for some things. (But don't feel bad.....If you do. If not, then good for you. ^_^ But I just have an annoying habit of correcting everything.)
It's true Jounouchi received the Legendary Fisherman from Mako (can't remember his Japanese name at the moment. -_-;) but he also received a card in which I forgot its name, and two Puzzle Cards. (So the winner of the duel is able to make it to the finals. That, of course, was Jou.)
Yami did work together with Kaiba, Kaiba because he wanted to save Mokuba, and Yami who wanted to make sure Jou and the others were safe. (And they played rather brilliantly too.) They, however, did NOT fuse their god cards. One of their opponent, Mask of Light, played a permanent trap/magic (forgot which) card that didn't allow Yami and Kaiba to make ANY sacrafices. Meaning they can't get a strong monster out, such as the god cards. But, Kaiba found a way to summon BEWD without sacrafices. Raise Dead. (Monster Reborn) The BEWD was destroyed, however, but it was a bait........for something. (Blah, need to watch my DVDs again.....) Then YAMI got a kick butt card by fusion. However, the monster was taken control of by the Mask of Light. He attacked Yami, but he activated a card that split a fusion, so the three monsters were back into their normal selves, but still under MoL's control. But, Kaiba had the key to winning in his hand. The God of Obelisk and......a magic card that allows you to sacrafice your OPPONENT'S monsters instead of your own to summon a higher level monster. Since there were three monsters, Kaiba used that card, summoned Obelisk, kicked Mask of Darkness's butt, made him fall down the building (but he had a parachute. Some duel of life and death.), and Malik took control of MoL. (Dang, that Millenium Rod is nifty!) And he told Yami that his friends were in trouble or something, and stuff like that. And what perfect timing. Mokuba arrived with a heliocopter. (Anzu helped him escape) Off they go, to save Jou and Anzu. And that's what happened during the Kaiba/Yami vs. Mask of Light/Mask of Darkness duel.
In Yugi's forced duel with Jounouchi, Jou wasn't the one to summon Red Eyes Black Dragon. Even though he was able to take it, he didn't. And to Yugi, that was proof that a little bit of his old self was still free from Malik. Yugi gave the Millenium Puzzle because he didn't want it to sink into the ocean with him if he lost (the loser sinks into the ocean, as they are both chained to an anchor. When the time is up, a bomb will go off, dragging the one that lost down with it, for the winner is able to get the key that is need to free himself) or something. Malik told him to disassemble it, and throw the pieces into the ocean, but Jou didn't listen. Jou played an illegal card (Now, don't get mad at him. Malik forced him to!) but Yugi retaliated with some card in which I forgot the name of. Now he can set off that card to any player......Including himself. But right then, Jou freed himself from Malik's mind control. After some sweet FRIENDSHIP fluff, Yugi ordered the card to be directed at him, bringing his lifepoints to 0. Jou had the REBD attack him, bringing his lifepoints to 0 as well. He swung across to where Yugi was, and got the key JUST as the bomb exploded. He saved Yugi, and Shizuka (oh yeah, they were all there. ^_^; And that was almost right after Shizuka removed her bandages.)saved Jou. Now everyone's happy.
The quarter finals took place at Battle Ship, and the semi-finals at Alcatraz Duel Tower, yes. But it's not really a Shadow Duel. Just a normal duel. Bakura just had freaky (yet cool. ^_^) cards and a Field Magic card that freaked just about everyone out.
The real Ra was angery, so Rishid and Jou both felt the wrath of Ra. They both fell unconsious, but Jou was the first to wake, thus winning.
Mai wasn't trapped inside the Shadow Realm. Yami Malik just tormented her with lonliness. He trapped her inside what looks like an hourglass except shaped as pyramids overlooking a beach where everyone except her are having fun. And as more sand gets poured on her, the more memories she loses.(I said this before.)
Actually, it was Shizuka who saved Jou. She removed her bandages and opened her eyes just when Jou was swinging over to save Yugi. That was her first sight. Seeing Jou save Yugi. After Yugi resurfaces, thanks to Jou, Mokuba was about to go get Jou's key, but to everyone's shock, they see Shizuka jumping in the water, and saving her brother. But Mai did slap Jou. ^_^; And Jou and Shizuka hug as well. (This scene was so kawaii and sweet! ^_^)
Anyways, you know of the whole Noah arc, (or at least know it happens.) right? But no one really cared to say anything about AFTER that. ^.^ After the Noah arc, the Battle Ship lands on Alcatraz. They meet with rubbish and junk. After Kaiba says a little bit 'bout that, they all enter the Duel Tower. Once inside, the four finalists, Yami/Yugi, Kaiba, Jounouchi, and Yami Malik, each enter a door. They come to a room with a card virtual game system. (I think that's what it's called) They go in and stand in the G.S. Then each of those G.S. rise (I think.) to the next floor, where they are a rather good distance from the ground and the rest of the group. This is the Battle Royal. It determines which people will duel who. The lower your lifepoints get, the higher the G.S. thing goes. The first two to lose will duel eachother first and the remaining two will duel after them. They each choose a monster card from their deck, and the one with the highest attack goes first. HOWEVER, the card they chose can't be used during the duel. Kaiba goes first, then Y. Malik, then Yami, and finally, Jou. The duel then starts. I won't give the duel away, but the first to lose is Y. Malik (that doesn't mean he's bad though. You try dueling three people at once, without knowing who the heck is going to attack you, direct an effect at you, etc. Besides, he doesn't really care who he duels, so I don't think he was trying that hard.) and Jounouchi second.
And THAT is the Battle Royal! (Save for the duel itself.)
I believe I now know the origin of the Black (Dark) Magician. It's set during Yami's reign in ancient Egypt.
I think the Black Magician was created after a priest (of Yami) named
Mahaado. (He kinda looks like the Black Magician too, except for some
difference. For example, the priest has a tan and those scar things under his
eyes like Marik.) He was in charge of re-burying Yami's father after Bakura took
him out of his tomb (BAD Bakura!). However, he buried him someplace else, and
dueled Bakura in Yami's father's former tomb. Mahaado ended up sacrificing his
life to make his monster stronger. (And his monster looks like the Black
Magician too!) His soul then appeared on a tablet that was set outside the tomb.
And you know what his soul looked like?
The Black Magician.
And he
has an apprentice that looks just like the Black Magician Girl, and the BMG was
called the BM's apprentice in the episode she first appeared. (The Japanese one,
of course.)
Also, he said something like this: "Pharaoh, my soul will be your eternal servant."
Probably why he's Yugi/Yami's favorite card.
