After class, Jaden, Syrus, Bastion, Chumley, and Alexis went into the
basement of the school. They secured everything around them so no one can
see. Finally, Jaden opens the package which contains a tape, a small chest,
and a journal with pictures.
Jaden: I guess the info is on this tape.
Syrus: I feel uncomfortable looking in that journal.
Chumley: I found a VCR to play it.
And so they did. It was Yugi on the tape.
Yugi: Jaden. It's good to see you again. If this tape arrived to you
successfully, that means you didn't get expelled and there's still a chance.
Jaden makes a face.
Yugi: I hope you have chosen wisely on the people you trust this secret
that I'm about to tell you, especially with your life.
Jaden: Yes Yugi. I have.
Yugi: Okay, the secret that I'm about to tell you is about the origin of
Duel Monsters and how I became the King of Games. Duel Monsters originated in
Egypt 5000 years ago. Ancient Pharaohs, Wizards, and Priests played dangerous
Shadow Games to either save the world or to destroy it.
The group made all shocking faces.
Yugi: There was one brave, powerful Pharaoh that put an end to the Shadow
Games by locking the ancient powers into seven golden Millennium items.
The tape showed the seven Millennium items.
Yugi: Years ago, Maximillion Pegasus fell in love with the history of the
Shadow Games and decided to recreate them as Duel Monsters. Unknowing to the
Duelists, Pegasus was chosen to have one of the seven Millennium items. The
Millennium Eye. It has the ability to see anything from the naked eye. Like
for example, the opponent's Duel Monster cards.
Jaden: That's cheating.
Alexis: Is that true?
Yugi: If you are wondering where this story is going, well to tell you the
truth, I too was chosen with a Millennium item. The Millennium Puzzle. The
Puzzle was the Pharaoh's prized treasure. Not only it held secrets about the
Shadow Games but also it housed the Pharaoh's spirit as well. Yes, I am the
vessel and the incarnation of the Pharaoh that saved the world 5000 years ago.
The group went into shock.
Yugi: At first, I wasn't aware of the Pharaoh's spirit until I made it into
the finals in the Duelist Kingdom games. My friends: Joey Wheeler, Tristan
Taylor, Tea Gardner, and I were in duels not just for fun but to save lives.
Pegasus kidnapped my grandfather and the Kaiba brothers and sealed their souls
away by using the Millennium Eye. Joey was dueling to save his sister's
eyesight and he did. The Pharaoh and I manage to defeat Pegasus in a Shadow
Game and saved everybody. After that, a whole new danger and the destiny of
the Pharaoh came more clear. During that time, my friends, the Pharaoh, and I
met the other chosen ones with the Millennium Items. Bakura had the evil
Millennium Ring. Shadi, the Keeper of the items had both the Millennium Key
and Scale. Ishizu had the Millennium Necklace and her brother Marik who
was possessed by the evil Millennium Rod. Kaiba met Ishizu and she helped him
set up the Battle City Tournament to lure Marik and the Rare Hunters out.
Then she gives him Obelisk the Tormentor to use. Later on, I hooked the
Pharaoh and Tea on a date. Don't mention this but they did had a crush on
each other.
The group giggled.
Yugi: Anyway, the two went to the museum where Ishizu was waiting. She
informed the Pharaoh and Tea about Battle City. During the Tournament, me,
the Pharaoh, and Joey dueled all the way to the finals. The Pharaoh and I
managed to get Slifer the Sky Dragon from Marik's servants in the process. At
the end, the Pharaoh and I defeated both Marik and Kaiba and got all three God
Cards to help the Pharaoh regain his memories. Just before my friends and I
helped the Pharaoh regain his memories, a new enemy appears. Dartz, the
Oricalcos and the lost city of Atlantis.
Alexis: Wow. I heard Professor Arthur Hawkings may had found Atlantis but
rumor has it the ruins were destroyed in an attack by thieves.
Syrus: I heard that too.
Yugi: During that time, Duel Monsters were coming to life. One Duel
Monster, the Dark Magician Girl gave the Pharaoh, Joey, and Kaiba three
special Dragon cards that defeated Dartz: Timeaus, Critias, and Helmos.
Sadly, I was captured by the Oricalcos and the Pharaoh had to find the inner
light to keep on going. Joey and Kaiba were captured later on. The Pharaoh
managed to defeat Dartz and saved us and the world. Finally, it was time to
regain his memories. The team and I traveled to Egypt and that's where
another danger started. All of us traveled back in time to relive the
Pharaoh's past again. Sadly at the end, we lost the Pharaoh and returned back
to our time knowing the future was safe for bright young adventure seeking
Duelists like you Jaden. The day I first met you, I knew you believed in the
Heart of the Cards.
Jaden: Thanks Yugi. I promise I won't let you down.
Yugi: Now Jaden. I need you to lead where I left off.
Jaden: Say what!
Yugi: A new evil has emerge and this evil is planning to bring Duel
Monsters back to life to conquer the world.
Syrus: That's terrible.
Yugi: What's worse, I received a message from Egypt. Some dark forces had
stolen the Millennium Items. Thanks to Marik and Ishizu, I learned the dark
forces plan. They are going to resurrect the Pharaoh but they need a few
things: The Millennium Items, my deck, and me...
The group was horrified.
Bastion: This is why he was kidnapped.
Jaden: We'll rescue him.
All: Yeah.
Yugi: Jaden in this package I left for you is my journal that gives clues
on how to defeat this evil and save the Pharaoh if he's brought back to life.
This tape and my three loyal Duel Monster Cards. Not the Egyptian God Cards.
Nothing personal but you aren't a chosen one to wheeled their powers.
Jaden: None taken.
Yugi: I have arrange you and your friends to be taken to Egypt where your
journey will begin. I called Professor Banner who is on the details will help
you out of class. Please Jaden. The fate of the world is now in you and your
friends' hands.
The tape ends.
Chumley: Whoa. So does this mean we're going to Egypt?
Jaden: Yes. To save Yugi and the world.
Jaden opens the chest and saw Yugi's three loyal cards: Dark Magician, Dark
Magician Girl and Khuriboh.
Jaden: These three cards hold a special key. Alexis, can you please look
through that journal and solve those clues Yugi left for us.
Alexis: I'm on it.
Outside, Dr. Crowler was trying to listen in until the group opens the door
and smashes Dr. Crowler to the wall.
Syrus: Did you hear something?
All: Nah...
