My mom had a way with words, by the time I got home she noticed the happy look on my face. And she knew that I had love on my mind. I told her about Yugi and she insisted on helping me out with what to wear so me and mom spent the rest of the day deciding what to wear, finally we chose a pale blue dress, not too fancy but not too casual. She helped me with my make-up and I put on star earrings. when I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't believe what I saw! I looked pretty!
I turned toward mom and we both squealed and danced. This was to be my first date! I was really nervous and I kept pacing until mom finally told me to stop.
"You're making ME nervous." I apologized. Then went upstairs to see if Yugi was on his way, mom was doing the same thing. I stopped at my room and pulled out my pokemon cards.
"Wish me luck you guys." I said to them. Downstairs the doorbell rang! Yugi!! I walked down the stair as calmly as I could, I took a couple of deep breaths as I saw him standing at the door talking to my parents. Yugi saw me. His eyes widen.
"Wow." he said. I have never blushed so much in all my life. Mom and dad sent each other excited glances. I clung to my purse, then dove forward.
"We'll be back around 9 mom." I gave her and dad a kiss on the cheek. They both watched me and Yugi as we started off for the movies. I was really excited, my first date with the guy that I really liked! We began to chat about the different kind of strategies of Duel monsters and Pokemon, and he told me about the heart of the cards. I smiled at him and I told him that whenever I battled I would put my whole heart into it. We came to the movie theater and watched an action flick. Then we went to a restaurant and ate, and I told him all about my job. my family and about my friend that taught me how to battle. Soon we were both chattering away like we were old friends. We were both laughing at some joke when we arrived at my house.
"I had a really nice time Yugi."
"Yeah, me too, listen why don't I take you to meet my grandpa tomorrow? He was really excited when I told him that I had met someone."
"Sure, okay, you could come by the temple and look around. My shift ends early tomorrow."
"Great, see you then Lita."
"See you then Yugi." Then giving me a wave he took off. I stared after him a bit disappointed, I was so sure that he was going to kiss me. I shook my head. Come on girl, its the first date, you don't kiss on the first date. I smiled, thinking that Yugi really liked me as much as I liked him, then I entered the house. My parents both pounced on me asking millions of question. I told them then went up to bed.
