NFR Woodstock Turn Convention 2009

Contest Room

A number of the SLD members participated in the NFR 2009 convention that was held in Woodstock Ontario on the weekend of April 17 - 19.
The convention was comprised of clinics Friday night and Saturday morning, layout and prototype tours Saturday afternoon followed by the traditional banquet. Sunday consisted of the AGM in the morning followed by Layout tours in the afternoon.
The Contest - Appearance and Judged - took place on Saturday.
By all accounts, those who were able to attend, had a great time.

The following are some pictures taken at the Contest identifying the submissions made by the SLD members and their awards.

Structures - Prototype

As we had expected, there was a heathly collection of the Silver Plume Bakeries submitted in the Structures Prototype category. This created quite a stir among the convention attendees and many inquired about the Laster Structures 101 program and what it was all about.

The structures on display were from: Peter Nesbitt (O), Peter Joyce (O), Grant Knowles (HO), Stan Conley (HO), Chris Lyon (HO), Mike Hamer (HO), Alex Binkley (S) and Dave Primeau (HO).

Here are some photos of the display.

We had a sign describing the Laser Structures 101 Program.
