CHRISTMAS IN SCOTLAND

Christmas cat

A week after Christmas, Scotland commences its Hogmanay celebrations with another period of parties, feasting and drinking. Epiphany or Twelfth Night on the 6th January marks the last day of Christmas and the end of the festive season. It is the day that Christmas decorations must be removed, as leaving them up is supposed to bring bad luck to the household for the coming year.
