Background: In RPGs, players do the STUPIDEST things. Like trying to survive a point-blank blast of Fire-Breath from a Great Wyrm, or playing supposedly Good characters, then looting dwarves who are suffering from Sucking Chest Wounds. Naturally, all these things are done in the name of good, but Munchkinism, Rules-Lawyering, and Power-Gaming almost invariably twist the deeds to cause greater and greater chaos. Naturally, all this carnage has to go somewhere, and eventually, through hundreds of years, it leaked into the weak spot of reality: Khazan. Step-by-step, this...presence conglomerated into the entity now called Hack n' Slash. Somehow the creation of every stereotyped, personality-less barbarian, every ill-defined warrior, every greedy, backstabbing thief in existence, Hack n' Slash quickly joined up with the Maniacal Heroes, in the pursuit of more treasure, greater and greater EP rewards, and Violent Good!

Character Disadvantage
Bumbling
Like I said, Players do the stupidest things. Hack n' Slash has similar problems, and his sheer idiocy has effectively given Common Sense the proverbial boot-in-the-rear.

Character Personality

Powers and Abilities

Energy Conduit

  • Power: Energy Conduit
  • Level: Standard
Hack n' Slash's power is based on sheer, incredible stubborness. It quite simply refuses to submit to the laws of nature, and can thus defy the decrees of Fate itself with virtual impunity.

The Art of Hack n' Slash

  • Power: Martial Arts
  • Level: Standard
Naturally, Hack n' Slash is quite skilled in the deadly arts. In combat, it wields deadly fist with remarkable grace and lethality. However, when one combines this with the remarkable ability to defy natural law, it becomes almost unstoppable...

Controlled Carnage

  • Power: Martial Supremacy
  • Level: Ultimate
Hack n' Slash is, quite simply put, a close combat god. He can move with tremendous speed, strike blows with bare fists that can crumple buildings, and annihilate even the strongest of materials with a single blow. All of this is thanks to the fact that he is too stubborn to accept, and therefore be ruled by, the laws of nature.

Too stubborn to die...

  • Power: Iron Will
  • Level: Ultimate
All that separates Hack n' Slash from a quick and painful death is his ability to defy the laws of the universe. However, this is quite enough. For Hack, there is not always an equal and opposite reaction, nor does Murphy's Law always apply. In layman's terms, he is effectively invulnverable, or close enough to it. He can walk through a nuclear blast without harm, or withstand the attacks of the most powerful of mentalists with ease.

Big Ass Sword

  • Power: Sword
  • Level: Superior
  • Advantage: Seeker Ranged attack hunts target.
Well, you can't have Hack n' Slash without a Big Ass Sword. It may not be a Hackmaster + 12, but it is still more than capable of slicing and dicing a normal human. And, as if that weren't enough, the Big Ass Sword acts as if it had a mind of it's own, seeking out and cutting apart it's targets.

Cattlepunk (tm) Lasso

  • Power: Tractor Beam
  • Level: Standard
  • Advantage: Ranged Attack Attack usable at a distance.
  • Weakness: power in item - Easy to Lose item
Seeing how many fighters had potentially devastating powers, that were limited to items, Hack n' Slash decided to buy a lasso. He now uses this lasso to steal the weapons of enemies, as well as to bring those annoying distance fighters into much better range. Unfortunately, the Lasso can be knocked away by a fighter who gets inside Hack n' Slash's truly formidable defenses, and there isn't enough room to twirl it in a Steel Cage, although the cage puts fighters inside Hack n' Slash's devastating close attack range.
