The first took place in the hall way of our dorm, me and a friend were standing in the hall wy shooting the bull just talking about whatever.When we heard someone approaching from down the hall, which would have been behind me.
The reason we were so interested in who was coming was because he made a very recognizable sound, the sound of a new arrival. We knew he was new because the sound we heard was the sound of bags dragging along the floor;duffle bags and or any number of various other bags.
Hence we knew we had a new arrival, which we all so elegantly called pingers (because all new arrivals hated it so much all they would do was ping or complain about everything).Anyway this pinger nodded his head to us and we nodded back he stopped about 15-20 feet from us sat his bags down, pulled out his keys, turned the door- knob, removed his keys and went in. He never came out while we were standing there.The reason for so much detail will be obvious soon!
My friend and I continued our talk. Later we were joined by another person. The person who had previously occupied that room and who had for some time occupied it alone. He was a little pissed when we told him he had a pinger roommate but what can you do?? He talked for a while then went in. A very short time later he came out and asked where his new roommate was.
Of course we told him in the room and he said no one was in the room. We entered the room it was empty except for the 3 of us. We looked all over the room under the beds, in the closet even on the ledge (which was 3 stories up!). We never found him and never saw him again!!!!!
Once visiting the same friend in his room; which by the way was across the hall from the room mentioned above. We noticed that the strangest thing was taking place. He and his roommate had a mobile hanging from the ceiling near a mirror when the mobile turned it appeared to be standing still in the mirror and at times the reflection even appeared to be either moving slower than the actual mobile or moving in the opposite direction 4 of us saw this but could never figure it out, this lasted for quite a while then suddenly everything became normal. If it ever happened again I never saw it nor did I ever hear about it from my friends.
