Genesis Women's Shelter is a residential facility for battered women and children.  They provide safety and shelter for victims of domestic violence.  Each year Genesis Women's Shelter serves over 700 victims who are forced to leave their homes and seek refuge.  Their need for food, clothing, and housing is immediate.  These women require to learn a better way of life and the Shelter provides therapeutic counseling to help guide them in the right direction.  Children's services, aid in obtaining medical and legal helps as well as information about remaining safe is also offered.

As the Genesis Women's Outreach we provide counseling, information and referral services to those families who can choose to circumvent the Shelter process.  Both genesis Women's Shelter and Genesis Outreach provide services with a "no cost/no strings attached" philosophy.  Because they operate on private funding, community interest and support are vital.

Since the Genesis is a non-profit organization, they need financial assistance from corporations and individuals like you just to maintain the facility and provide adequate care for women and children.
