Various Sedums, the Harebells, Cupids Dart, late Garden Phlox, and Checkerbloom, are still in bloom. New for August are the Star-Gazer Lilies, Stokes Aster, and Liatris. At the end of August my Asters finally bloom.

The highlight of my garden are all my daylilies. I love daylilies. I have many shades of purple, pink, mauve, red, white, yellow, and melon . This is definately my favorite plant. My earliest daylilies open in mid July and my latest varieties bloom in early September. They are virtually carefree, desease resistant and multiply rapidly. I cannot help buying several new varieties each year.
