As June approaches Bleeding Heart, Candytuft, Primrose, Periwinkle, Striped Moss Phlox, and Purple Rock Cress all continue to bloom. Columbine, Jacob's Ladder, Lupines, and my purple and white Moss Phlox open, and my later varieties of Iris usually start to bloom early in the month. Followed shortly thereafter by Cranesbill, Soapwart, Dianthus, Painted Daisy and Creeping Baby's Breath. Both white and purple Clustered Bellflowers are spectacular. Next is the Yarrow and then Spiderwort starts its first blooming session. At the end of the month the Shasta Daisy, Delphiniums, Foxglove, Mallow, a second purple Clustered Bellflower, Peach-Leafed Bellflowers all start to bloom. Various varieties of Peonies open throughout the month of June. Of the June Blooms Bleeding Heart, Yarrow, Spiderwort and Cranesbill definately offer the longest show of color. Yarrow will bloom continually for more than three months, Cranesbill, Bleeding Heart, and Spiderwort for six weeks or more, if you cut off the dead blooms.
