PROFESSORSHIP IN THEORETICAL PARTICLE PHYSICS

The Department of Physics, University of Dortmund, invites applications for a faculty position in theoretical particle physics. The appointment will be at the W2-level, starting October 1st, 2007. We are seeking an individual with strong research record in elementary particle theory with emphasis on astroparticle physics. Possible research areas could cover dark matter, matter-antimatter asymmetry, production and signatures of cosmic neutrinos, particle theory aspects of the early universe or related fields. We expect cooperativeness with exisiting theoretical and experimental particle and astroparticle programs (IceCube, Magic, Atlas, LHCb, BaBar). The successful candidate is expected to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
