Applications are invited for a Full Professorship in
Theoretical Physics
Opening September 1, 2006 at the Institute for Theoretical Physics,
University of Bern, Switzerland.
Candidates should have a strong research record in the area of quantum
field theory applied toparticle physics. The current research activities
at the institute include effective field theories, nonperturbative methods
in quantum field theory, the standard model, in particular heavy quark
physics, and unified field theories of particle physics. The successful
candidate is expected to strengthen the interaction between these
research fields at our institute and to participate in the teaching
and supervision of students.
The University of Bern encourages women to apply for this position.
Applications, including a curriculum vitae, a publications list,
copies of the most important publications and a brief outline of past
and future research should be sent to the address below
by November 1, 2004.
