The Jagaroth destroy themselves in a massive interstellar war. One last surviving spaceship lands on Earth to make repairs. Scaroth, the ship’s pilot, sends the ship into warp too close to the planet’s surface, causing an anti-matter explosion. Scaroth is split into twelve temporal fragments which are scattered throughout the future history of Earth. Radiation from the explosion energizes pools of amino acid on the planet surface, revitalizing the evolution of life on Earth.
(Doctor Who)

Scaroth’s twelfth temporal fragment arrives from the year 1979 CE in an attempt to stop himself from launching the Jagaroth ship. The Doctor, Romana, and Duggan have also come from the future to stop Scaroth from stopping himself. Scaroth is stopped by the human Duggan with what is probably the most important punch in history. An unconscious Scaroth returns to 1979. The TARDIS returns to the twentieth-century as history runs its normal course.
