time's crucible:
a history of the omniverse
PART ONE: THE PRIMORDIAL UNIVERSE
(16 - 4.61 billion bce)

15,999,997,624-
Date of Event One as calculated by Federation scientists in the twenty-fourth century CE.
(Star Trek: Voyager)

13,500,017,903-

Proprieters of Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, establish the Big Bang Burger Bar at this point, transported from the far future and held in a stable region of artificial sub-space which protects its patrons from the radiation and other forces existing at this time. Time travellers from the future may visit the Burger Bar and witness the birth of the Universe as often as they like, without ever meeting themselves. (This is ofcourse completely impossible.) They may also deposit funds in a special account, then journey back to their native times and reap mega-fortunes in accrued compound interest. (This is also completely impossible.)
(The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

Event One as observed by the Time Lords. The universe begins as a singularity of condensed, superheated plasmic matter, which begins to expand outward in an explosion which continues for billions of years (colloquially and somewhat inaccurately referred to as the "Big Bang"). Two forces, one good, one evil, are born at this moment. The evil force lives on, while the fate of the good force remains unknown. The Leptonic Era, the first age of the universe, begins, as the precursors of the first matter and energy particles form. Many rare and unstable elements such as helium-3 are present, but are lost as the universe and its physical laws continue to take shape.
(Doctor Who)

Time and Space as we know them take form and expand outward with the universe. While many colloquially see Time as structured like a string, a more accurate model would be of string which is bundled together into a ball. "Time travel" is then essentially the process of leaping back and forth between the points on the string. This axiom forms the basis for the "string theory" of Dr. Sam Beckett, who will use it in his Quantum Leap Project on twentieth-century Earth.
(Quantum Leap)

Recovered from his injuries and having failed in his original plan to destroy the various versions of Earth and absorb their energy, the Anti-Monitor arrives to undo the birth of Time and  prevent Creation itself.  The heroes from six different Earths arrive, led by the Spectre.  The heroes, thanks to the Spectre and other mystic heroes such as Dr. Fate, Thunderbolt, Phantom Stranger and Zatanna, keep the Anti-Monitor from winning his cosmic arm-wrestling match with the Spectre. The Spectre wins and all future history is reset, with the Multi-Earths being merged into one reality.
(DC Universe - Crisis on Infinite Earths)

Schletzhold’s Postulate theorizes that the Universe may have originated from a series of multiple
“Big Bangs.”
(Star Trek: Voyager)

The Federation starship Voyager is brought to this time from the 24th century CE by the Q entity
Quinn, and is nearly torn apart by the titanic forces present.
(Star Trek: Voyager)

The Garm, an ursine species from the previous universe, arrive in this time period. Their gigantic ship, Terminus, is forced to dump its fuel into the unstable void of the infant universe and attempt a time jump. Terminus is thrown billions of years into the future to the center of the universe. Its fuel reacts with the proto-elements present and creates the first basic stable atoms.
(Doctor Who)

As the universe takes form, the Black and White Guardians come into being. One seeks to preserve the order and harmony of the universe; the other seeks to cast it into eternal chaos. Time Lords from the previous universe also appear, having used time travel technology to escape the destruction of the previous universe. They find they have omnipotent powers owing to the differing physical laws of this universe, and become the Great Old Ones. One Great Old One, Saraqazel, ventures even further, into the next universe after this one. The Eternals, omnipotent beings from beyond time and space who have no concept of good or evil, also appear in our universe about this time.
(Doctor Who)

Also brought to this reality from the previous universe is a humanoid from the Planer Taa Group. Mutated by the new physical laws and powerful energies present, he eventually mutates into Galactus, a gigantic being of immense powers who feeds on the life force of entire worlds to sustain himself.
(Marvel Comics - The Fantastic Four)

13,500,007,903-
The Leptonic Era ends. The universe settles into its present homogenous state.
(Doctor Who and cosmological theory)

Forseeing that periods of chaos will beset the new Universe, the White Guardian creates the Key to Time, a device which has powers of transformation and teleportation, and also the ability to manipulate time itself. To prevent his opposite from using the device to increase the level of chaos in the Universe, the White Guardian splits the key into six segments and scatters them throughout space and time. The Black Guardian sets the mysterious entity known as the Shadow at the beginning of time to wait for the moment when the six segments will be reunited.
