Midway Airports CFR 651 received this 2000 Oshkosh T-3000 CFR w/Snozzle.
O'Hare also received a new ARFF.
Engine Company 83 is one twenty-two new Spartan / Luverne ALS Pumpers
that have been put into service with another fifteen on the way.

When the complete order of Pierce 100' Ladder Trucks are delivered, Truck 3 will
be one of 29 new Pierce Trucks delivered in the last year.
Tower Companies 10, 14 & 34 received these Pierce 100' Tower Ladders
Engine 23 & 92 are 2001 American La France/3D Pumpers that were purchased
as part of an emergency order.
Tower 5 was also part of an emergency order.
Squad Company 2 is one of three Squad Companies that received these 2000
HME / Central States Squad & Squad / 55" Snorkel
. The others were Squad 1 & 5.
Truck 45 is one of nine 2001 E-One 100' Ladder Trucks.
When Squad 1, 2 & 5 received new apparatus, so did Squad 7 stationed at
Rescue Station 3 at O'Hare. It is a 2000 Pierce Lance Heavy Rescue.
As mentioned in my last update,
AT-1 has a new rig. There 1988
E-One 135' Aerial Tower has been
replaced with a Pierce 105' rear
mount. It is built on the same
chassis that the Pierce Towers are
built on. Click on the photo to see
a larger image and compare the
CFD trucks.
The latest group of pumpers to be
ordered have arrived and have been
built with Class A Foam. The new
Spartan / Crimson pumpers will be
assigned to Engine Company 42,
68, 93, 95 and 117.
CFD 646 is just one of the new
Breathing Service units running
around the city. Some have been
built on new Ford F-550 chassis.
Steve Redick sent this photo of a
new High Expansion FOAM unit
which is on display at the FDIC
show in Indy. The new unit is
assigned to 6-3-1. It appears to be
really decked out.
O'Hare & Midway Airports have both received these 2002 Ford F-550 / Pierce
RIV which will replace the Hummers.
This is a drawing of the new firehouses that the following Engine Companies
will be moving into once they are completed.
Engine 18, 38, 63, 70, 84, 88, 102, 109, 121
Two of these huge 2003 ALF Hazardous Incident Team units have been put onto
service.
Engine 76 is one of the new 2004 Spartan / Crimson Pumpers with the raised roof
& LED lighting system.
Engine 91 is one of the raised roof Spartan / Luverne (Crimson) pumpers that
have been purchased.
