The dream to have a center built by the Filipino-American community is finally becoming a reality. Over 1,500 people attended the groundbreaking ceremony and festivities of the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu. Philippine Ambassador to the United States Ernesto Maceda was just among the dignitaries and "Official Shovelers" who took part during this historic day.
