There are a lot of reeditions of "REST ON ME" on the market and most of them are made in Europe. They aren't a perfect copy of the first Kim Carnes' album. All of them have a bad qualitity of recording and not including the track "It Takes Time". Most of reeditions add a new arragement. Do not look only the cover art when you buy a record. It's a false appearence! Be smart!
The most embarrassing CD Kim has in her collection "would be one of many compilations that my old record company had put together without my knowledge and some of them aren’t really good. I don’t like them! Record companies love to do that. And they put new pictures, different titles... as an artist you work so hard at controlling each album that you do and then for the record company they have the right to use it all and mess it all up. It’ not a good pick. I would like to say to the fans, put a disclaimer, 'I did not approve this. Don’t buy!'" - She confessed to Torgen Schneider in a 2005 interview.
