Kiragoi Mimarin. The famous pop idol member in the
singing group Cham. Millions of fans worship her. But
one wants to kill her...
Synopsis
Mima gives up her pop idol image to pursue her
talent in acting and to save her entertainment career.
When she begins her small role in a murder drama, things
don't go well for her. Cham finds success without her, and
fans are disappointed in her career change.
To please her producers, her image is changed from the
clean, youthful, innocent singer to a not-so-innocent,
smutty actress. A website dedicated about her reveals
information about her personal
life by an obviously obsessed stalker. And while the
people around her are being killed one by one, she loses
her grip on reality as her life spirals out of control.
Opinion
Perfect Blue is excellent. You will easily get
enthralled in this movie. It differs alot from the
mainstream anime we see now, and actually has a good
storyline, plot, and turnout. You probably will have to
watch the movie twice to catch all the details, but the end
totally surprised me. The artistic perceptions ( hallucinations
and other stuff I won't mention since they're spoilers:)
are interesting and quite original. It's weird, like Lain,
and it ain't kid's stuff.
The movie contained a reasonable amount of violence, unsightly
gore, and nudity that would definitely not be appropriate for people under
16 years of age.
Conclusion
Buy it...now. A valued keeper in your small collection of
good anime movies.
