[Roman Catholic Apostate] Church appears set to apologize

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil --- The Roman Catholic Church in Brazil appears set to mark the 500th anniversary of the nations discovery next year by apologizing for its links with slavery. Brazil's 280 bishops met Saturday in Sao Paulo state to discuss the church's yearlong anniversary program, which is due to end with a visit by Pope John Paul II in April 2001. More than 4 million slaves were shipped from Africa to Brazil from 1500 until the late 19th century. Churchmen openly accepted slavery and kept slaves themselves.

This is the legacy of the Roman Catholic Church. They butcher, rape, enslave, murder, torture, mutilate, etc. people and do it in the name of their god (the Pope) and goddess (Mary). The thing that shows me that this is totally insincere is the fact that they are waiting UNTIL their anniversary to apologize! If they were truly repentant and sorry they would apologize immediately, and not wait around until a festive time to do it!

Once again the Roman Catholic Church waits around until the last minute to do what is right and even at that they do it in the wrong way! When will people start to recognize the Catholic Church for the apostate church of Satan that it is and stop pretending that it has anything to do with Christ and Christianity?
