Catholic Worships Stain In Cardboard Barrel BY RYAN HICKS © 2001 Ryan Hicks |

A special thanks goes to Dallas/Fort Worth Texas' NBC KXAS, Channel 5, for bringing this story to light. This is what the Catholic religion has to offer: a cardboard stain they think is a idol goddess Mary. It would be funny if it were not so pitiful. Is it any wonder why over the years the Catholics have had to force people by threat of death into their religion? What sane person would want a religion where oil stains on a cardboard barrel are worshipped? Or what about the Catholics in Mexico who worship the ice-cream stained shirt that looks like it has a stain in the shape of Mary? Does their idol worship know any bounds?
Here are some Scriptures rebuking the Catholic's worship of idols and images. The can claim that they are adoring them, not worshipping. They can claim whatever they like, but the truth remains that Catholics worship idols. Just go into ANY Catholic home and you will find at least one dead Jesus on a cross or some Mary images. Go into one of their churches and you will see idols everywhere. You may also see people bowing down before these idols (worship). Some will be talking to the idol statues (worship). Others will be outright praying to the idols (worship). All making it plain to the world that they are idolators, and in the lowest respect too, as the picture above shows. An example of someone doing as the Catholic church can be seen in the example of Manasseh in 2 Chronicles 33:1-11, but the difference is that in the life of Manasseh, he repented of his idolatry and other sins (2 Chronicles 33:12-20). The Catholic Church has yet to repent, and continues to lead millions into eternal damnation through idolatry and rejecting the Lord and His word.
1 Corinthians 10:12-14
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10:19-20
19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
Galatians 5:19-24
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Colossians 3:5-11
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
1 Peter 4:1-3
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
1 John 5:21
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
The above Scriptures make it clear that no Christian, no one who is truly Christ's, is an idolator, nor do they commit any of the works of the flesh. True believers have put off the old man, and no longer commit any of their former sins (like idolatry). This shows that no Catholic is saved when they worship numerous idols from a dead Jesus on a cross to a Mary stain on a cardboard barrel or an ice cream stain, the Catholics are idolators which are children of disobedience. God's wrath comes upon them for such wickedness, and they bring shame upon themselves for it is seen by all as complete nonsense.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Revelation 18:4
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
It is solely up to you. You must decide if you want to continue worshipping an idol Jesus and an idol Mary, or whether you want to repent of idolatry and start worshipping the true and living God. You can come to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. You will not need the idol Mary to go to God for you like the Catholic church teaches, rather you will go through the only mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ, for the Scripture says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
