All false religions fail to deal with sin because they offer no final forgiveness of sin, so they rely on man's good works, which are inadequate. This is why Roman Catholicism must be considered sub-Christian. It is a system of working one's way into favor with God and reducing, rather than eradicating, the consequences of sin, now or in purgatory. Does Islam have a consciousness of sin and guilt? Does it have a way for the Muslim to be finally cleansed of sin, indeed, does Islam even notice sin? These are fair questions which we intend to answer from the Koran and the Hadith of Muhammed.
__________Begin Sub-topic__________
Koran, Sura 4:30-31, Whoso doeth that (evil deeds) through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into Fire, and that is ever easy for Allah. If ye avoid the great (things) which ye are forbidden, We will remit from you your evil deeds and make you enter at a noble gate.
Koran, Sura 6:120, Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they have earned.
So there is Hell to pay for great sins, but the small sins will be overlooked if the great ones are not committed. We also see that sin is to be forsaken, but it is very clear that Al Koran offers no cleansing of past sin, no way to answer a guilty conscience.
In Sura 6:120, we are told to forsake the "inwardness" of sin. How? Every person KNOWS he has sinful thoughts. Where is the power in Islam to forsake sin? Where do forsaken sins go?
Koran, Sura 39:53, Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
This is small comfort. It is only forgiveness for the sins I have done to hurt myself. What about my sins against other men and God? Furthermore, you will never find in Islam how the penalty of sin is paid. In our human courts, and in the heavenly court, all unlawful acts have penalties attached. In fact, a law without a penalty attached is void from the day of inception. Where is Islam's payment of the penalty for sin?
Page 60
Islamic law is "color of law."
There is no place in Islam where one man dies for another man. Jihad is death in the cause of Islam, but it is a selfish death in that the Muslim dies to gain access for himself to Heaven. Muhammed had no way to pay the penalty of sin. Muhammed totally ignored the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Why? Answer: Muhammed refused to acknowledge that he needed payment for his sin. He wanted to work up a good show for Allah and see if he could get into heaven on his own merits. Men who willfully stay dead in sin don't impress the God of the Bible.
Muhammed was stuck just like the Jewish Pharisees of Jesus' day. They refused to confront the holiness of God through "new birth," so they had to make an endless list of small sins to avoid, everyone of them becoming very important as time and tradition took over. Islam has a similar long list of sins which must be avoided rather than cleansed and forgiven. It is found in Al Hadith. I shall now give you a short list of the small sins that Muhammed said the Muslim cannot commit:
Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 7, No. 54- Ibn Mas'ud reported that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Don't cleanse yourselves (wipe your backside) with impure things, nor with bones, because these are the provision (food) of your brethren from the Jinn (demons)'. Attested by Tirmizi, Nisai
I will make few comments. It is enough to just read these laws in Muhammed's legal system. I do not give these to mock, rather; I show you the mind of "The Prophet" in dealing with small sins:
Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap 8, No. 58- Abdullah-b-Sarjas reported that the Messenger of Allah said: 'None of you must pass urine in a snake's hole'. Attested by Nisai, Abu Daud
Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 6, No. 140- Abu Raihanah reported that the Messenger of Allah forbade ten things: Sharpening teeth, anointing palms, plucking out hairs, a man lying with another man without under-garments, a woman lying with another woman without under-garments, a man putting on silk underneath his dress like foreigners, or his putting on silk upon his two shoulders like foreigners, plunder, riding on leopards, and using a seal excepting for one who is a ruler. Attested by Abu Daud, Nisai.
It is a comfort to know that very few of us have offended Allah with regard to riding leopards, right? Now, here is a direct contradiction of one of the above by Muhammed himself:
Al Hadis, Book 2, Chap. 10, No. 13- Jaber reported that the Prophet said: 'When you come at night, don't go to your wife till she takes off her hairs of her private parts and combs her disheveled hair.' Attested by Muslim.
Here are some more Hadith that deal with right and wrong or small sins.
Page 61
Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 6, no. 149- Umme-Salamah reported that the Prophet went to her (sexually) while she was putting on a veil over her head. He said: 'Use one fold, not two.' Attested by Abu Daud.
Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 6, No. 150- Ibn Omar reported: I passed by the Prophet while I had looseness in my trousers. He said: 'O Abdullah! Raise up your trousers.' So I lifted them up. Then he said: 'Lift them more.' Then I lifted them more. I continued afterwards to make them short. Some people asked: 'Up to what place?' He said: 'Up to the middle of two hind legs.' Attested by Muslim This is Islamic canon law, not just some silly side issue!
Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 2, No. 61- Tal qe-b-Ali reported that the Messenger of Allah said: 'When a man calls his wife to satisfy his desire, let her come to him though she is occupied at the oven.' Attested by Tirmizi.
Al Hadis, Book 1, Chap. 1, No. 44- Abu Harairah reported from the Holy Prophet who said: 'When a man has two wives, and he does not deal equitably between them, he will come on the Resurrection Day with one side hanging down.' Attested by Tirmizi, Abu Daud, Nisai
Al Hadis, Book 2, Chap. 11, No. 109- Abu Sayeed-al-Khodri reported that the Messenger of Allah said: 'When a fly falls into your food, drown it (in the food), because there is poison in one of its wings and a cure in the other, and it gives off the poison first and the cure last.' Attested by Sharhi Sunnat.
I wonder how many Muslims are faithfully doing this today? This list is enough to show one clear truth about Islam, that is, it has no atonement for all sins. Long lists of picky little codes are needed for the faithful Muslim to use in every detail of life. He can then work to keep the sin burden rather small and hope that Allah will not be too upset about it on the Day of Judgment. How sad, there is no forgiveness of sin.
THE BIBLE 'S ANSWER TO MUHAMMED'S
NOTIONS ON SIN:
Bible, Ezekiel 18:20, The soul that sinneth, it shall die... the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
Bible, Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is DEATH; but the gift of God is eternal LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.
It is clear from the Bible that one sin of any kind will send you
Page 62
to Hell. Allah might tolerate little sins, but the God of the Bible will not. He is so holy that He cannot look at one sin in a man. This is not a matter of preference, it is a LIFE AND DEATH matter.
But God has provided forgiveness for our sins which would damn us. The God of the Bible does not just want to remove "great" sins, He is in the business of removing ALL of our sin, but only if we come to Him by His way (See Chapter 26). Only the believer in Jesus has a convincing hope.
Bible, II Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS are become new.
It seems that Allah only worries about "great" sins. The small sins are ignored. The God of the Bible leaves no doubt in your mind that once you are "born again," you have NO sin against your account. Also, you don't have to try to figure out which sin is "great" and which is small.
Bible, Romans 14:23, And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Even doubt or lack of faith will damn a man. Is this too harsh? Muhammed must have thought so since he never touched the issue. Is there mercy, and how do we get mercy? Answer: There is mercy IF someone pays the penalty for every sin. Who would do that?
Bible, Isaiah 53:5-6, But he (Messiah-- Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all.
Jesus paid the penalty in full. All the sin of all men was put on Him, so there is no penalty to pay for those who ask God for this Salvation through The Lord Jesus Christ.
Bible, Romans 5:7-8, For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Bible, Ephesians 2:1 and 5, And you hath he quickened, (made to come alive) who were dead in trespasses and sin.... Even when we were dead in sins, (God) hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
We are all dead and going to Hell until the blood of Jesus' sacrifice is applied to us.
Bible, I John 1:7, But if we walk in the light, as he (Jesus) is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
The only sacrifice I found in Islam is in North Africa in a ritual
Page 63
called "ZAR" exorcism where animal sacrifice, and sometimes human sacrifice and cannibalism, are used to pay demons (jinn) to leave people. (FOOTNOTE 11: 123 / 224-225 / 1930 ) There is no sacrifice for sin in Islam, so Muhammed had to try to make the Muslim comfortable with the knowledge that he was a sinner with some hope of mercy, nothing final. In fact, it is "ever easy for Allah" to cast men into the fire. How hopeless!
Now look at the Christian's promise from God to forgive everyday sinning:
Bible, I John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
After a person becomes a Christian by repenting of his sin and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ (Al-Rub), he can confess sin to God, and God forgives him. Whenever a Christian finds wickedness in himself, he at once names it before God, claiming God's forgiveness. After this, God "cleanses" his guilty conscience. Islam, like all non-christian religions, offers no such final cleansing in the present life.
To the Muslim reader this must sound strange because the Mullahs cannot even discuss this approach to sin. It is foreign to their thinking to rest in the forgiveness of a finished sacrifice made by Jesus on the cross 2000 years ago. Once Muhammed made Jesus a mere man, he had no sacrifice for sin because mere men are sinners, and a guilty sinner cannot pay for another sinner's sins. He has to pay for his own. Dear Muslim friend, do you see why Jesus could pay for your sin? It was because He was God dying on the cross in your place. As God, Jesus had no sin in Himself, so His sacrifice was accepted by God the Father in heaven. This is the true Injil (Gospel).
Listen to David as he remembers how God forgave his sins:
Bible, Psalms 103:1-5, Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Bible, Psalms 130:3-4, If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

"There is forgiveness" to those who come to the God of the Bible. They have no such embarrassing instructions as the Hadith to deal with. According to the Mullahs, the Hadith are as authoritative as any of the scripture of Islam. It is these Hadith that govern the Muslim's daily life, so it is quite fair to let you read some of them, to see how hopeless it is to avoid sin in Islam. How can a modern Muslim live out this code of Muhammed and Allah? Dear Muslim friend, I did not quote the Hadith to make a fool of you, rather; let me call you away from this silliness to the Lord Jesus Christ (Al-Rub). He will not make a fool of you in this way.
After I saw Ahmed Deedat debate a Christian leader, I realized how Islam cannot change its most zealous followers. Deedat was born an India which is famous for its liars, who twist the truth without shame. He claimed to respect Jesus, then tried to prove he was a bastard. He claimed to follow rules of debate, then went everywhere but where the debate was planned. Deedat is a snake, and Islam cannot change his sinful heart. You may have been amused by the Hadith quoted above, but it isn't very funny when you realize that there are 7000 of them, and there is no way to know which Hadith are "great" enough to send you to Hell.
Only the God of the Bible cleanses and forgives ALL sin, small or "great," through the sacrifice and precious Blood of The Lord Jesus Christ.
