CELIBACY FOR THE FIRST POPE? BY RYAN HICKS © 1996-1999 Ryan Hicks |
The Roman Catholic False Church contends that Peter was the first pope, although there is no historical, biblical, or any other proof of this beside the mere thoughts of men. Yet, Peter was a married man. Why would the Catholic Church teach that its priests have to be celibate when the first pope, the one they say the church was founded on, was married?
Matthew 8:14
14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
Mark 1:30
30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.
Luke 4:38
38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
1 Timothy 4:1-3
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
If you are a Catholic you need to know I point this out in love. If you see the clear truth above that it is those that depart from the faith and give heed to seducing spirits that forbid marriage in any extent (priests or laypeople) then obey the Bible and "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities" (Revelation 18:4-5). Turn to the God of the Bible and away from the pope, his priests, and his idols. E-mail me today about your decision to serve Christ and FULLY reject and do away with the Roman Catholic False Church.
