Kate Forsyth
Kate Forsyth was born in Sydney, Australia in 1966 and now lives in
Annandale with her husband, baby son, a little black cat and literally
thousands of books currently writing the fourth book in her fantasy
series, The Witches of Eileanan.

- Her first novel Dragonclaw was short-listed for the 1997 Aurealis
Award for Best Australian Fantasy Novel
- Dragonclaw was also named as one of the Best First Novels of 1998
by Locus, the 'bible' of the SF field, and was chosen as one of the
best fantasy books of the year in a reader poll by Locus
- Upon publication in the US, Dragonclaw debuted at No. 8 on Locus'
bestsellers' list
- The second book, The Pool of Two Moons, was released in the US in
April 1999, with the third in the series The Cursed Towers, due for
release in the US in May 2000.
- Kate has worked as a journalist for many years. She was Deputy
Editor of the financial wire service MoneyWatch, Editor of the hair
and beauty magazine Hair, and has freelanced for such magazines as
Vogue Australia, Black & White, Studio Bambini, Mode Brides,
Interiors, and Australian Collections
- An internationally published poet, she was the President of the
Poets Union for two years. Her poems have been published in The
Sydney Morning Herald, The Bulletin, The Age and many other literary
magazines, as well as in Denmark and the US.
- She has a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Macquarie University
and a Master of Arts in Writing from the University of Western Sydney.
