The Course
The Torah is Judaism’s Crown, our greatest gift - it has inspired our highest aspirations and within it we seek the word of God, searching for new truths and from it we derive new inspiration.
Or, however precious, do we take it for granted, assume it to be the province of scholars and depend upon derived wisdoms?
Probably all of the above.
Yet we are told that Study of the Torah is the greatest of all mitzvot; so how should we set about it?
This course presents the Torah methodically, in a chronological, thematic and structural framework – space and time, personalities, God, worship and commandments … in the five books of Moses.
It encourages individual thought and enquiry and provides a springboard for further study and discussion.
It gives us the confidence to (re-) possess as Jews our greatest inheritance.
