Nitzanim Classes for children of all ages
Nitzanim Classes
Cheder Nitzanim meets in the synagogue for two hours every Sunday morning.
There is no lower or upper age limit, and parents are encouraged to stay for all or part of the sessions. No prior knowledge is assumed, and children are welcome to start at any time during the term.
Sessions are structured but informal. We are learning to speak and read Hebrew using a combination of music, role play and, more recently, parts of the Jolly Phonics system. Older children are encouraged to learn to write block Hebrew. We also use songs, games, discussion and crafts to explore other aspects of the Jewish religion and culture.
The cost is £2 per child per session to cover materials, payable at the beginning of term.
