The girl at the Popcorn Taxi thing had "half a chance" so if I had been her, I would have had that chance too. However, not only would I not have grabbed and kissed him like she did, I would not have touched him without him initiating it first simply because it would not be appropriate for me to do so.
I can fantasize all I want but in real life, I wouldn't do it.

some girl actually grabbed Ewan and kissed him square on the lips even though he's married? That is not proper at all. Fantasy is one thing. Groping a married man with a child is quite another.

Miss lialee that was one of the strangest revelations on the board, that Cheeky, AN & I teach Sunday School, and that fiasco looks after primary school kiddies! It's like a twilight zone discovery!
Ewan was really easygoing about the pash. Maybe he's used to it! He just moved on to chat with the next person, not flustered at all. How cool.

But I doubt it pleases Eve that much. I'm sure she's come to terms with the fact that so many other women find her husband attractive, but having someone grope him without so much as a thought to his marital status must be pretty upsetting to her. It ought to be upsetting to him, too. Hmmmmmm........just goes to show that actually being married to the object of your fantasy wouldn't be all it's cracked up to be. I wonder how many dog house stays the lad has had. I'd wager there's been a time or to his winsome smile didn't quite cut it with the missus.

Ah, he's a good boy really. Like he said, in these similar words, "I'm a scallywag but Eve knows I'll never cross the line."
I think she'd be used to it too, but there was a very good interview posted with her on the old board (in the archive somewhere) where she was saying YES it does make me mad!!
This is the only area I can relate - I've quite charming b-f and he's had girls make obvious advances, even in front of me! But I also know he doesn't cross the line and so I don't worry about it. I'm a bit proud that other girls like him, in fact! (But sometimes, yes, it makes me MAD!)

You know what I think is interesting about most of the responses in this thread--and this isn't a judgment, just an observation--is that many of the objections are because Ewan is married and has a child (I mean in this thread. Didn't catch the other discussion.) The over-riding objection to me--again, this isn't a judgment on anyone else's thoughts; it just stems from my background--is that this is criminal sexual contact: the girl touched it. Granted, fans hug and kiss stars all the time. But to touch it is a chargeable offense.
What's interesting, too, is that what is horrifying and frightening when it's done to a woman--imagine how much more vitriolic our responses would be if we read some stranger went up to, say, Eve, or one of us, and touched us in that manner--is merely disgusting and offensive when done to a man. And I'm embarrassed to say I was dismissive about it. When I told DeBacle about it, I said that Ewan was probably a good sport about it and laughed it off.
kici--when I tease DeBacle that I'm going to leave him for Ewan, he laughs and says I wouldn't tolerate his--Ewan's-- shit (mostly the drinking, he means) for one minute. DeBacle knows me well. If I was Fiasco McGregor, I'm sure there'd be a doghose in the backyard with Ewan's name on it!
PS) DeBacle was just reading over me shoulder, the scamp, making vulgar comments about "feel the love" and "throw the boy his bone back" and "talk about an ego-stroke." So I guess this is a gender-thing. When I told DeBacle about the incident, his comment was that Ewan probably got off on it. And perhaps it was a rush for him, being in the middle of an adoring crowd, being the object of desire.
DeBacle, by the way, is off to his doghouse for mocking his replacement

Fiasco, I'm sorry! I made a very nasty typo!!! I meant to type "him", not "it"! The girl at Popcorn Taxi did not touch Ewan's privates (as far as I know)!!! She just grabbed him and kissed him. I'm sorry!!! 
Married or not, I wouldn't do any of that to Ewan without him initiating it first. If he invited me to get a hug, I would and I might chance a kiss on his cheek but that's it. That's as bold as I would get since I don't really know him personally. As you said, he's a human being and deserves to be treated with respect as any other human being.

Yes, I was wondering what was going on for a minute! No, no need to worry, that girl wasn't *that* forward! She just came on very strong.
Ewan was very huggy and friendly that evening, he hugged many people, including all his friends, kissed some too - he's like that naturally it seems, which is really nice. I'm sure Eve has no worries with that, he's just a hands-on friendly guy

fiasco - I love reading your posts. And that man of yours is a hoot! You two definitely keep me smiling! I agree with your hubby, as much as I like Ewan, I'd have a real problem with some of his antics. Drinking and smoking just are major downers for me. As for women hugging and kissing him, well, that wouldn't bother me as much. As long as they weren't as forward as that 'popcorn girl'! My hubby doesn't wear a wedding band at work, too dangerous, and some of the women didn't know he was married. He's come home several times and told me of their flirting with him. He gets so embarrassed! I think it's cute. Makes me feel good to know that other women think he's good looking too, but he's mine all mine. I feel secure coz I now he won't 'cross the line' either.
