Merry Christmas...two days late.

Can I come in? Any food or drink left?

I could use a good stiff drink, I've had a rough weekend. Sorry I'm so late; I would have been here sooner but the weather is freezing, it just keeps snowing, the roads are terrible and I almost got ran off the road by an AT-AT. Crazy drivers!

To top it all off, I fell down my snowy front steps on Saturday and fractured my right ankle..(pity cry).

You feeling better Mrs Obi? You sounded realy sick.

Wow, look at all the Ewans! And Johnny Rzenik to boot! Now that's a bonus!! This IS a happening place.

Hi, Tylergirl. Did you see our 'hostage' lowbacca tied on the leg with a keg of Corellian? He'll be puking in no time.

Ok, accidents and colds are here. I was washing glasses and one broke while my hand was in it. The cuts aren't bad, but they sure bled alot. Now my right hand looks like frankenstein.

The weather hasn't been too cold the last few days. 20 degrees and no wind with the sun out. Now that's a proper winter heat wave!

I believe there's still leftovers, or you can always order whatever you want and Jamie will whip it up for you in no time. And I think Windcaller wants to watch Monty Python. I'd like to see The Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life.

Oh, heck yeah. After these last few days, Mark and I need to loosen up!

Katfan grabs Mark and heads to the dance floor as The Grunts launch into their version of Auld Lang Syne.

BTW O.W., I got the DVD player, but it's not compatible with my $#%# old television set! So "Gladiator" is sitting by its lonesome until I get another paycheck, then an upgrade. Technology....it's a beautiful thing.

You know, now that you mention it, I thought I did see something or someONE thrashing about wildly on one of the legs. I hope he'll be okay. Do you think he might have passed out?

Sorry to hear about your hand Star. Sounds painful.

As far as the food, bring it on; I'll eat anything. The Christmas family dinner was extremely disappointing. I'm in the mood for some good food and drink. Jamie, what's your speciality?

Monty Python..love Monty Python. I don't think I've seen the Life of Brian, if so it's been years. I've seen the Meaning of Life and Holy Grail.

I was just getting ready to sit down, prop my foot up and watch Gladiator. Yes, I know, it's shameful that I haven't seen it yet.

The Life of Brian is great. Well, they all are, but I've seen The Holy Grail so many times, I could recite it by heart.

Le'see. Ham and beans, sweet cornbread and frosted sugar cookies.

Yummy; all of those sound good.

You think there's any Corellian left?

Just finished watching Gladiator, FINALLY! Sniff, sniff...I liked it, very good film. Now I can finally say I understand the fuss about Russell Crowe.

:lowbacca, realizing he is out of ale, heads back up to pick up the next barrel. He then relocates to the top of the AT-AT:

Watch yourself there lowbacca...the fall from the top could result in some serious damage. Not to mention the motion sickness will be worse. can someone pass a puke bag to the boy please? And go easy on the ale son. It's all about moderation.

Well folks, hope you all had a good Christmas! Aside from the accidents and illnesses that is. My son has been very sick as well.

Welcome to you Tylergirl! I haven't gotten to officially greet you until now, so... HI!!!

Wookiees do not get drunk easily! Human alcohol content does not affect wookiees that much! If I wanted to get drunk I'd need to drink some of the more pptent wookiee-made liquers. And an AT-AT doesn't move too jerky

Still, best to keep that bag handy...don't want to have to hose down the AT-AT in this weather!

You see, lowbacca decided the ride on the leg was too much so he decided to climb on the top.

Do you guys remember the story about Willie Nelson on top of the White House smoking grass? Or was it he was sitting on the grass smoking the White House?

actually, up here I don't have to worry about dropping the barrels. More room to tie them down.

Mrs. Obi waves to Tylergirl, Star, Eye, OWK, and anyone else standing around

Wow, Tylergirl, you fractured your ankle? Oh my gosh, I just have a cold! How are you? Can you get around?

Star, you're not missing any fingers or thumbs are you? That's why I don't do dishes anymore, I just throw them out when they get dirty!

My cold has spread, now I'm coughing too! My voice is back, but very scratchy sounding!

Eye, I hope your son's better. It's not fun to be sick at Christmas.

Accidents and colds. Ah, the joys of winter!

Tylergirl comes in from the cold and shakes off the snow. Oh how I dream of 20 degree weather with sunshine.

I was thinking I'd ask lowbacca if he'd come give me a ride to work on the AT-AT. It's probably the best way to get around in this snow-storm we're having. However, if he just grabbed ANOTHER barrel I think I'll just stay inside where it's safe and warm.

Mrs. Obi, my ankle is okay; it's not a bad fracture, luckily. I can even walk on it. The doctor gave me an 'air-cast' to wear for a couple weeks; I can take it off to shower and sleep. The ankle hurts though, kind of a dull, constant ache but it's livible. Gives me an excuse to have my husband wait on me when he gets home after work. Hope that cold of yours gets better; I think having a cold right now would be worse then a hurt ankle.

Eye, thank you for the welcome. It's much more fun to actually participate on this board then just read it now and then. Hope your son is feeling better; it's no fun getting sick, especially during the holidays. My oldest daughter came down with something X-mas evening. She seems to feel okay; she just sounds bad.
Ahh, 'tis the season.

A toast to the sisterhood and a good card for the day:

The Three of Cups is often called Consent, or simply Yes. This card resonates with a spirit of agreement, mutual support, encouragement and teamwork. Often pictured as three women celebrating their connectedness in a dance with lifted cups, it could also be called "sisterhood," a real mutual admiration society. It points to the benefits of harmonious relationships.

Too bad about the fracture Tylergirl. At least you can walk on it. I know the situation fairly well. I had surgery on my foot last April. I had a wheelchair for a month and then another month and a half on crutches. Anyway, hope it heals quickly!

Argentine Nagiko waltzes in with Robert in tow. He is carrying the Karaoke machine so its time to sign up ladies and drunken gents..

O.K. who is the first drunken singer of the night/day??

I also brought some of my leftover Christmas feast, I made Calamari ala Santa Lucia, Squid in a white wine & tomatoe sauce ( very good courtesy of Molto Mario at Foodtv.com) and bruschetta ala Napoleatana with sourdough Rosemary bread brushed with Olive Oil and toasted, then smeared with Ricotta with fresh chiffonade of basil and broiled with mozz cheese and assorted toppings of anchovies w/capers, artichoke hearts and fried proscuito/ham. The fam loved it, even the wee ones!

Someone take the Sauvignon Blanc away before I attack that young Robert lad and get banned to the AT-AT with Lowbacca.

Tylergurl- How wonderful a new sister! Welcome from an ole hand that pops up once in a while, don't listen to anything the other sistuahs tell ya about me. Unfortunately its all true!!

Ya know what this party needs to get cooking?? Some good ole fashion fiasco!!

The bruschetta sounds great Nagiko, but no calamari for me thanks. I'd feel like I was eaten Bant or General Ackbar!
