HISTORY
The Ellyrian retributors follow the example of the great eldar hero Elronhir, who scared off the Mon-Keigh of legend and restored the power of the eldar in the galaxy. It?s this idea of retaking of the Mon-Keigh what rightfully belongs to the eldar that created this aspect on the Biel-Tan Craftworld. For this purpose of cleansing the galaxy they use the same technology as a Prism Cannon, but than in a bit smaller form. For them the major threats to the eldar are (apart from The great devourer, who was there in their time of power and will always be there) the Orks and the Humans (Space Marines and Imperial Guard) for they are barbaric and rude life forms who have taken over the galaxy after the fall and because they consist of well-armoured troops (Space Marines!) as well as lots of infantry (Orks ) as well as tanks ( Imperial Guard ), they needed some weapon which could handle them all. Therefore a new weapon was created based on the worth proven technology of the prism cannon. The result is a very flexible squad that can target anybody in the opposing army, because of that they are a feared opponent and the Mon-Keigh praise their false gods that these deadly warriors are so few in numbers, the reason for this is that they demand a high skill of shooting and that they use a rare and difficult to handle but powerful weapon and of course they are a very young aspect which doesn?t have many members. However this is rapidly changing because of the many fabulous victories that they have achieved. Their first appearance was against a large squadron of Space Marines who came to claim a planet near to the Craftworld, they took on a rather large squad that was isolated from the main army. Those Marines never knew what hit them. Secondly they fought a battle against a large army of Orks (and so helping a human planet, because if the Orks weren?t stopped they would destroy the whole system and so finding some eldar history that was better left undiscovered), after having destroyed the leader?s personal Wartrukk, they completely annihilated his retinue and left the boss so terribly wounded that he decided it was time to retreat! But the most heroic of all battles was the one against a huge Imperial Guard army, they destroyed a Leman Russ Battle tank but were charged afterwards by a regiment of soldiers and when those clumsy Mon-Keigh managed to kill a squad member the others got mad and after killing 4 of them the humans were overcome with fear and easily annihilated, unfortunately this left them vulnerable on the battlefield and they were shot at and although the weapons were weak they managed to kill another 3 squad members, the others found shelter in a wood and continued doing damage during the rest of the battle. Afterwards the survivors were honoured by the craftworld?s fareseers and became a indispensable part of the Biel-Tan army as well as a respected Aspect.
PAINTING
The Ellyrian Retributors ritual armour is blue with green, green from their Craftworld and for the hope of the Eldar race that they embody and blue stand for the tears of the eldar after the Fall and reminds them that if they succeed in their mission, there may be no second Fall.
DRAWING
This drawing was made for me by a friend of mine (thanks William), following my ideas about how they should look. I imagined that they would have a massive gun and that they wouldn?t look really ready for close combat ? but I also didn?t want them to look like Dark Reapers and I think that they look great!
A LITTLE STORY OF ELDAR VS. ORKS
During the second war for armageddon, the Eldar were present as well.
A rather small Craftworld was floating through the Armageddon sector
as a gigantic Ork Space hulk came out of the warp, spewing with it
many fighta-bombas and other spaceships. The Eldar prepared to face
their doom as the Hulk floated towards them, they had to keep the
orks from destroying the planet armageddon because the vengeance of
the "human" mon-keigh would affect their craftworld as well. But as
they are a small craftworld they send a distress call to the major
Craftworlds and of course the warlike Biel-Tan responded taking with
them the Ellyrian retributors. As the Ork vanguard descended upon the
planet, the craftworld unleashed the greatest of aspects upon the
planet and with them the followers of the long dead Elronhir.
The Ellyrian retributors found the Orks lying around, totally
unprepared for an attack, but a lot of them, at least tens of
thousands. The aspect warriors hid in the dense jungle as the bulk of
the Eldar force landed and attacked immediately. There were millions
of souls spilt on the first day of the assault on armageddon prime,
most of them Human and Orks but unfortunately also some eldar. But
still the aspects hid in the jungle, awaiting the other orks...
As the other orky mon-keigh landed on the planet the aspects made
their attack, waiting for the dark of night to strike into the heart
of the assaulters, the warbosses. They were all together, discussing
tactics (the little tactics they had) as night fell and the aspects
silently approached their targets. As out of nothing and at the order
from the exarch, the warriors all powered their prism weapons and
with a flash of light the warbosses were splattered all over the
place leaving only a steaming puddle of green meat and blood. As the
first mon-keigh awoke from the sudden flash of light, the aspects
were already powering their weapons again, unleashing lightning
bolts at the Orks who were shred in half as they were shooting wildly
at an invisible enemy ... that night only one Eldar soul passed and
it was retributed enough by the hundreds of greenskin "souls" that
were set free of their lumbering bodies...

PERSONAL NOTES
Well that?s it then, I hope you like them and will use them in you
struggle to retake what rightfully belongs to the Eldar. Now it?s up
to you to make this aspect (in)famous. I like them because they are
so tactically flexible but as they aren?t so specialised as other?s
and as they are vulnerable to assault I guess that they are balanced
but if you have any remarks or ideas (anything), don?t hesitate to
send me mail, my address: anduril17@hotmail.com
Thanks for taking time to read this?
