pledge
turned out to be bullshit...
Hi kevin,
This is my pledge to take things a little easier for a little while. When bunk (later titled plastic sun/crazy moon) is completed, I'll have 3 excellent full-length albums to my name. Some groups have a whole career and only produce 3 records. What I'd like to do after the 3rd record is concentrate on making and getting the packaging done for the records. It will give us a final sense of accomplishment. At that point, we can send them out and sell them at shows. They will look more substantial, and I feel people would pay $5 for them. I need time to recuperate from the intense past couple of years. I may want the 4th record to feature michelle on the whole thing. I may want to record it completely through my paris. I also want to give things a break so that while you are marketing the stuff, I can do mostly songwriting. With the recordings and performances, I haven't been really tapping my creativity like I feel I should've been. I want to play shows, but maybe not rehearse so much. Maybe the day of the show we go over stuff quickly. I would love to do some jams with you. I also would love to record submarine, icicles, mistakes, Sarah's desert, and merely obvious for a live record. These songs would actually be recorded live at slip. Maybe we can pick a few others like stuck in the ocean or monotony and release for that live record. We can call the record lumbago live or something. It can be a shorter record, but I'd like it all to be live. That will require a lot of microphones, but I'd like the musicians to not be isolated, but like we're on-stage.
What do you think?????
