Buffy, Willow, and Cordy sat on a bench in the park, waiting for Joyce to come pick them up. Well, to be more precise, Cordy and Buffy were on the bench and Willow was sitting on the
ground facing Cordy.
"So now what?" Cordy asked.
"Well we could play a game, maybe?" Willow suggested.
"Like, Anywhere but here?" Cordy looked interested.
"Yeah." Willow nodded.
"No," Buffy smiled suddenly. "Lets play 'would you kiss him'."
"All right. But me first," Cordy insisted. Buffy and Willow exchanged looks before nodding.
"Hmmm...Spike."
"Yeah, 'cause, okay and don't tell anyone, but he's sooo cute, and I don't know why but his entire attitude it just..." Buffy's sentence ended in a growl.
"I...think so. 'Cause he's got the accent, it reminds me of someone I know, an cause he's kind of cute." Willow answered, shrugging.
"Who does his accent remind you of?" Buffy asked suspiciously.
"A man I know from England."
Buffy shrugged, and it when on for nearly half an hour before it got really tough.
"Ethan Rayne."
"Not a chance" Buffy answered, rubbing her neck absently.
"Ummm, yes, 'cause , of the accent thing, and...I know this sounds weird: but I'm not sure there's just something about him. Ya know?" At their odd looks, Willow coughed. "Okay my turn. Principal
Snyder," she said, chuckling.
Two very definite no's.
Laughing over the obvious joke, Buffy said, "Okay, okay my turn..."
Giles crept up on the group, preparing to attack Buffy to test her reflexes, when he heard his name. He stopped to listen. In case it was Slayer business, of course. {Sarcasm inserted here}
"Giles," Buffy said, with a laugh.
"Ugh! No way!" Cordy laughed.
Willow just plain shut up.
"Na-ah, Will. You have to answer," Buffy urged.
She just shook her head and looked wildly at Cordy for help. She, of course, just smiled nastily and nodded. "Yes, Willow, if you could kiss Giles, would you?"
She glared at them.
*Why doesn't she answer?* Giles thought frozen in place, curious of her answer despite the many times he had told himself that she was off limits, *Besides which she could never want someone as old as I am* he thought sardonically.
"Yes damn it! There, are you happy? Now you know, I have the hots for your Watcher!" Willow screamed as she stood up, her face flushed and eyes flashing.
"Wow," Buffy breathed. "Giles? My watcher? Stuffy English librarian man?
The Ripper? Why?"
Willow's energy seemed to drain out of her and she collapsed back to the ground, nodding, as she began to speak so quietly that he had to creep farther towards them.
"He's sweet, and funny, and smart, and he has a sexy accent, and he's so..." she broke off with a noise that made him smile. "He's protective. I mean, ever since Oz left me for that groupie he's
been finding things for me to research, he listens to me in my crying jags, he understands me when I start to blather on about this demon or that spell, and he ....okay I know your going to look at me funny but when he turned into the Ripper? I ummm...I kind get...." she stopped
blushing so much he could practically feel the heat coming of her face.
"Giles beating someone up turned you on?!" Buffy said, incredulously.
She nodded, then started again. "He has that thing I was talking about with Ethan but more so. He...when he was under Ethan's spell, and he was a teenager? He was...I don't know but I liked it. I
thought if he were a teenager now , I'd probably embarrass myself by falling all over him, even though I know he would never have like someone like me.
"Sometimes late at night when we research I wonder what it would be like if he kissed me, or I have this recurring dream where he and I are in the library, and no one else is around, I dream
we're both leaning over this huge old book and we both reach to turn the page and our hands brush, we turn to look at each other and he kisses me and then he starts to..."
She broke off as they heard a noise and Buffy whirled around in a fighting position. Willow gasped as she saw who had fallen near the bench.
She took off running , and after a few moments was shocked as she and something heavy landed hard on the ground and rolled downwards. She struggled hard, jabbing instinctively with her
elbows. When she heard the so familiar, accented voice mutter a sharp curse and grind out the words, "Would you mind?," she went completely limp.
He turned her over , but still didn't get off of her. "Willow, why did you run?" he asked quietly near her ear.
She glanced around and saw trees surrounding them and groaned to herself.
"Let me up Giles," she begged, speaking so softly he barely heard her, but even then he could hear the tears in her voice.
He never could stand to hear her cry. So he did the only thing he could think of, one of the few things he swore never to do.... he kissed her.
She froze for a moment her mouth open in a little O of surprise, which he took full advantage of. His tongue stroked hers gently, and when she didn't respond, he did another thing that he swore never to do when kissing a woman, he let the Ripper take over.
Roughly he pillaged her mouth, crushing her lips to his, and in a moment she moaned and kissed him back, giving as good as she got.
Willow pressed her body closer to his, clenched her hands in his hair, as little noises she had never even heard, let alone made before, came out of her mouth. She felt his hands one pillowing her head; the other cupping her butt. She shivered as his tongue slid out of her mouth forcing her to follow him into his. He pulled her shirt out and undid the top few buttons and made a noise himself as he realized she wasn't wearing a bra.
She had never been this aroused before. She made a little mewl as he pulled back, then she saw a smug little grin on his face.
"Feel better?" Giles asked, with a tone she recognized immediately. Her eyes grew wide and her breath caught.
"Ripper," she murmured, and was rewarded by his grin widening.
He kissed her again, a quick, teasing kiss. She groaned as his lips barely brushed hers, and he pulled away. Growling she yanked his head back towards hers, taking his mouth with her.
He ground his arousal between her legs causing them both no end of frustration.
They both froze as they heard a soft voice clearing their throat behind them. Slowly they turned their heads and saw Buffy standing at the top of the hill. Giles arm slid up and blocked Buffy's view.
"Yes?" Giles asked, the Ripper fading out.
"Just wondering what happened to Willow."
"She's fine."
Buffy smiled and walked off, and Giles looked down at Willows sweet face. "I..I apologize Willow...I don't know what got into me."
The tears were back suddenly, and with a tearing in his heart he realized how that must have sounded. He sounded like he regretted kissing her, like it meant nothing.
He stroked her face and smiled, "I understand that this can't happen again, but I don't regret it. I wish it could happen again, I wish it could have been more, and I most definitely wish Buffy had
better timing." That statement earned him a little smile.
"Why can't it happen again?"
"I assumed you wouldn't want to."
She kissed him again and whispered, "You were wrong."
"I have never been more pleased to be wrong," he said with a smile, and kissed her back.
