MY BRAIN
A page dedicated to my brother, Daniel, who favors his left hemisphere slightly.
This is the Brain viewed from the right side of the skull.
Now as I mentioned on the my Westminster page I feel entrapped by my school's extremely focused program. Why you ask? I suppose I did not make it very clear. When I first came to Westminster as a young fledgling college student, I along with my class was forced to take multitudes of tests to determine our learning styles, personalities, etc. so that the professors could better suit their classes to the given student population (I don't think a single one of them used the results). Anyhoooo, during this first week we underwent a Brain Hemisphere Preference test. I was shocked that I came up dead center on the scale. Upon thought, this made sense. In high school, on the SAT's I scored equally on both portions of the exams. Well after one year at Westminster I took the test again in an Introduction to Psychology class. I tipped the scales. I could feel my head gravitate towards my right shoulder under the sheer weight of my right brain, and my puny little left brain sat there gasping for air. So you see, I feel trapped because my left brain is malnourished here. I have to seek out food for thought (so to speak for my left brain, otherwise it will soon die from starvation!!!). So I ask you this... what is your favorite food for thought? Think about it and feed your brain today. It'll thank you later.
