    Vrindavan is where Lord Krishna spent his spectacular childhood, after being born in nearby Mathura, during the second age of the worldThe name of this city had been transliterated as 'Brindaban' until recent years, and some texts and maps show a transitional 'Vrindaban' as the place name.
