Editorial

This last edition got rather delayed, as we had some major changes going on here in Vancouver. We completely tore apart the old lab (with our bare hands!) and built a whole new lab, bigger, better, brighter. In the meantime, the transition period made it difficult for us to work on the newsletter, especially since we no longer had a computer for website design for awhile. Some of the students who contributed to this edition have gone home quite awhile ago, and have been waiting patiently. The November edition is finally up, about 2 weeks late. We also, therefore, didn't have time to make the calendar page or tha fancy navigation buttons that I like to use. Oh well.

I also must apologize to two of our Japanese contributers, as I could not put in the kanji and katakana/ hiragana like I had hoped, so the extra effort they made on the articles on Nagoya and Kyoto could not be shown here. I was already too far behind schedule. I did add on, however, a photo page. We had a great Halloween party, and I had to share these great shots!

Anyway, technical issues aside, I am sure you'll enjoy this edition, like always.
