Terms and Conditions for Tutors

Registration

To register as a tutor with Edu-Kiosk Tuition, you must meet the following requirements.

You must reside in mainland Singapore.

You need to have at least 5 GCE 'O' Level (or equivalent) passes, including English. Without an 'O' Level pass in English, you may still register but may only teach subjects that are in language medium other than English (e.g. Tamil, Chinese, Malay etc.)

You must show to the student/parent your original examination certifications during the first lesson of each assignment. If you are a school teacher or ex-school teacher, you do not have to show your examination certificates but you have to show proof of recognized teaching qualification.

Commission

A one time commission of 50% on the tuition fees will be payable for the first month to Edu-Kiosk Tuition. Thereafter, tutors will receive the full payment (100%).

Collection of Tuition Fees Commission

Collection of service fee will be done by Edu-Kiosk Tuition. We will collect the 50% directly from the student/parents two weeks after the date of commerce; which means that the tutor will only be able to collect the balance at the end of the month.

Application Process

You will require to submit a complete application via email or phone to register as a tutor. Your application will then be reviewed by our coordinators. If it is satisfactory, you will be accepted as a tutor and your record will be entered into our in-house database. In order to increase your chances of getting an assignment, you are recommended to send a copy of your examination certificates (or teaching qualifications) to Edu-Kiosk Tuition.

Discontinuing of Assignment

An assignment may be discontinued immediately on special grounds such as tutor did not turn up after the first lesson. In such circumstances, the tutor will not be compensated and will be blacklisted by Edu-Kiosk Tuition. Edu-Kiosk Tuition Agency reserved the rights to ask for payment from the tutor.

Tutor Particulars

Tutors are expected to complete the registration form accurately and to the best of your knowledge.

In the event if it is discovered in the future that the data that you submitted is not entirely accurate, you risk your status as a registered tutor with Edu-Kiosk Tuition.

All information submitted will be kept in the strictest confidentiality and will be used solely by Edu-Kiosk Tuition for contact and verification purposes only.

Responsibilities of the Tutor and Student

Once a tutor-student pair had been matched, both parties are expected to stay committed to the assignment. The tutor is expected to be committed at least until end of the student's next semester examination period. Both parties are expected to be regular and punctual for lessons. If either party is unable to be present for a particular lesson, he or she should notify the other party at least 2 days in advance. Either party may rearrange the lesson time with each other consent, however we discourage frequent changes as these would be disruptive to the student's lesson plan and the tutor's timetable.

Modification

Edu-Kiosk Tuition reserves the rights to modify any terms and policies in its sole discretion, by posting a change notice or a new agreement on its site. Please note that Edu-Kiosk Tuition will not update relevant parties personally. If the modification is unacceptable to you, you may terminate this agreement via email, phone or letter. Your continued participation in our agency following our position of any new modifications will constitute as a binding acceptance of the change.

Disclaimer

Edu-Kiosk Tuition will not be responsible for resolving conflicts or disagreement that may arise between both parties.

Limitation

Edu-Kiosk Tuition Agency, its owners and employees will not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to indirect, special, or consequential damages, arising in connecting with the use of our website.
