  Well, what can I really say?  I was born in Tokyo to an American father and a Japanese Mother.  I grew up in Yokohama with a younger sister and a younger brother and attended International School all my life.  Graduated in June 1999, and went to attend College in Portland, Oregon.  Met lots of great people there as well, many of whom are also Harry Potter fans.

  While I was home during the summer of 2001, my mother got a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone after one of her students recommended it to her.  When I had first heard of “Harry Potter”, I had dismissed as a children’s book but I soon started to notice how big the series was and had started considering reading it during that summer.  So my mom had gotten the book at a good time.

  I read the entire book in about eight hours and was completely hooked.  I immediately went out and got the remaining three books and was severely disappointed when I found out that Book 5 wasn’t even out yet.  I had become a full on Harry Potter fan and by the time I returned to College, I had discovered fanfiction.  As you can see above, I wish to become a writer some day.  So as a practice, in December 2001, I decided to try my own hand at writing Harry Potter Fanfiction and started writing “The Mage Knights”.  The rest is history.
