Here are photos of some of the world's most vulnerable species, threatened by the rapacity and thoughtlessness of the human race.

The roseate tern, an endangered species

The roseate tern is one of a number of species temporarily saved from extinction.

I may include a link to the current weather conditions at our vacation spot below.

The Dama Gazelle, an endangered species

The Dama Gazelle, a SubSaharan African antelope, has become endangered in recent years and its days are probably numbered. I suspect it will join the Dodo and the Passenger Pigeon soon.

The endangered Alaskan Blue Whale

The Alaskan Blue Whale is another endangered species (which will become even more rare if Bush gets his way with his brilliant plan to destroy half the Alaskan tundra while drilling for oil -- which may not even be there in sufficient quantities to do us any good.) The pollution from the drilling will also eventually impact the coastal waters and the whales' food supply will suffer.

A California condor in flight

The California condor, once extinct in the state, is now making a temporary comeback. I say temporary because the entire biosphere of the Earth is endangered by the rapid onslaught of global warming and much of the world's seacoasts may soon be submerged among other things. The over population of the human species will eventually destroy all other forms of life on Earth except for the cockroach and the rat, I suspect.
