Decorate your winter garden with
a snowman decoration that recycles old plastic pots and hanging baskets.
Materials:
Three 8 inch white plastic flower
pots
Eight 4 inch white plastic flower
pots
1 plant hanger that attaches to
an 8 inch pot
Soil
Evergreen prunings and cuttings
Outdoor ribbons
Plastic ornaments
Wire
Wire cutters
Outdoor plastic pot paint or permanent
markers (optional)
Directions:
Wire two 8 inch pots together base
to base using the drainage holes to weave the wire through. Make
the arms by loosely wiring the four 4 inch plastic pots together using
the drainage holes of each pot. Join the arms to the two 8 inch pots
in the wire of the “neck area”. Attach the other 8-inch pot open
end to open end to make the body. Again, wire together using the
plant hanger holes on the rims. If necessary, drill extra holes for
the wire. Paint a face on the top pot. Let dry. Fill
top pot with soil. Attach planter hanger. Moisten soil.
Push evergreen cuttings into the soil to make the hair of the snowman.
Add ornaments and ribbons and hang in your winter garden.
