Crafty Gardeners at the 2003 SCFHS![]()
The Branchville Crafty
Gardeners are back again with a new booth celebrating Sussex County’s 250th
Anniversary of its founding at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show, also know
as the New Jersey State Fair. Our
theme for 2003 is “250 Years of People and Nature Together.” We got our idea from the motto of
Sussex County, which is “People and Nature Together.”
So how do you bring people and
nature together? By creating a
wildlife-friendly garden! Our
booth has many innovative and exciting ideas on how to bring wildlife into your
garden, from plants that attract New Jersey’s local butterflies to creating
birdhouses that shelter native birds to building toad houses and bat
boxes. We also have a handy
handout that lists the step so you can create a wildlife garden of your own!
Stop by to see our booth and other booths created by Sussex
County’s 4-H Groups! Also, stop by
this page often during the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show, which is located
in Augusta, NJ, from Friday, August 1st to Sunday, August 10th,
to see updates. Photos will be
coming soon!
