DISCOVERING THE ANTARCTICA. W.A.P. Special Edition. By Gianni Varetto I1HYW. LZ0A BULGARIAN ANTARCTICA. Station "St. Kliment Ohridski" WAP BUL-01. Reading those "normal news" of a Bulgarian newspaper, we find a report that for us, the Hunters from Antarctica, it sounds interesting, have more than enough how the governments follow the scientific investigation in the Antarctica. The Dr. Salomón Passy, Secretary of the Exterior, says that tremendous blocks of ice float at the moment on the sea, around the island Livingston, and he cannot leave the Base. The Bulgarian newspaper informs that to Passy they are waiting for it in the Bulgarian Embassy in Santiago, the capital of Chile. But due to the conditions of the time, it could not attend the party with more than 600 companies. All heard the note of excuse of Passy. He had gone to the base St. Kliment, accompanied by the deputy Gergana Grancharova, as well as the Ambassador from Bulgaria in Chile, Peter Atanassov and three journalists. They were in a small airplane. But for reasons of the time they could not return on time. However, Passy got that a transatlantic one tourist that was happening accidentally, the Orion, accepted to deviate its road, although it represented a trip of 7 hours, picking up in the bank to the 13 members of the Bulgarian expedition. Passy later flew to Uruguay and then to Brazil where a commission of the president from Bulgaria, Georgi Parvanov is of visit because the president plans to visit the island Ligingston. He says that now they will begin their trip to St. Kliment Ohridski" the Bulgarian Base (WAP BUL-01), built in a solid rocky earth, approximately 15 meters on the level of the sea in the coast of Anchorage of Emona, to the east-northeast of Point of Hesperides, to the foot of Hill of Sinemorets, located the 62º 38' 29" South, 60º 21' 53" West, in the oriental coast of the South Bay, to Livingston's oriental side, and the island is in Shetlands South.
