CROIX (NA106) VIRGIN ISLANDS (USVI) - Bob W9UI writes to the "DX Bulletin of XE1BEF" to inform that it will be together with its wife Traudel WD9CTL they will be in Windwood from June 23 to July 8, but they inform that as another group of operators of the SWODXA they will be in St. Lucía, they will be to the watching in the band of 6 meters to take advantage of the And-sporadic one but at the same time they will be operating in HF (or diving!). INDONESIA - Bob, former-9V1GO, it is active now as YB5AQB after operating two years from the earth of 9V. It has been reported in several occasions the weekends in the low bands. But Bob is even active every day from two QTH, in the end of the afternoon it operates from Batam and during the day in Jakarta. It operates in all the bands and ways, but not a lot in 160/80 meters from Jakarta. The Qsl only direct via OK1DOT.

MEGA-GRID-DXPEDITION - (2 METERS) - Joe K9KNW is active in 2 meters in ways of WSJT. It began June 26 in the grid EM47 in Eminence, MO, and at this time it is in the gri EM57 in Chester, IL where it will finish July 5. Of July 6-14 it will activate the grids DN 83, 84, 93,94 in the west of South Dakota. And of July 15-27 it will be in several grids of Colorado. SYRIA - (6 METERS) - Omar YK1AO is already acgivo in 6 meters with a power of 100W and antenna of 4 elements, but with good answer toward the W and S. Its first QSO already made it on Friday with LZ2HM. In CW it cannot transmit. (73 Nick, 5B4FL).

 

BAY DE GUANTÁNAMO - (6 METERS) - For those that are interested to work in 6 meters the Bay of Guantánamo, KG4WW is already active in 6 meters. The wait to achieve contacts with Europe and America in 6 meters in the mornings and afternoons of 0500-0600z 1900-2000z will be in 14.180-85 with its callsign 9Q1D and there QSY can be requested to the band of 6 meters to see if the conditions are good with its country. ZD8I - ISLAND ASCENSION (AF003) (HF + 6 METERS) - Ian G8WVW together with its family is now new residents of the Island of Ascension and they will be there until the end March of the 2006 and it will be using the callsign ZD8I in the bands from 80 to 6 meters SSB (except 30m). Its suggested frequencies are: 3737, 7077, 14237, 18137, 21337, 24937 and 28537 kHz. SYRIA - Of July 2-16 it will be again active Saad N5FF as YK1BA, but only operating 3-4 hours per day, probably of 0100-0400z and after 1900-2200z o'clock and possibly again at 1100-1400z o'clock but mainly in 20 meters (around 14195 SSB, 14045 CW, 14080 RTTY), and according to the propagation he will make it in the bands 10-80 meters. AFGHANISTAN - Johnny Johansen LA5IIA is active in Afghanistan like T68G and it will remain in that country until March of 2007 as an official of the Telecom for UNICEF but he will give special attention to the bands Warc and low bands in CW and some digital ways, looking for to assist the north, center and south of America in 160-30 meters during the winter station. But he notices that the voltage is unstable, the heavy storms and the very high noise that he makes difficult to maintain a regular activity and strong. SUDAN - Fernando EA4BB (former D2BB, 9Q5BB and TU5JL) he is informing that it is in this country and he has license like ST2BF but it has not been active, still. The Qsl via W3HNK.  [TNX ST2BF].

CHAD - (HF + 6 METERS) - By month of August he has lengthened of Pierre TT8AMO (HB9AMO) and Mike TT8M (PA5M) in Chad, where they have made 9000 QSOs approximately in all the bands, including 228 in 160 meters and 1171 in 80 meters. Now they will put special attention in 6 meters. He will also try to get license him to allow him to operate in digital ways. May 12 Michael TT8M will be inactive during one month but it will continue active during that month TT8AMO. TT8M only has license to operate all the ways and 6 meters. The Qsl for both, via PA7FM. EP4HR - they will GO - Hamid EP4HR has been very active even among week, and they have reported it in PSK31 in 28120 at 1046z o'clock, in 7.036 at 2248z o'clock, in 18100 at 1148z o'clock, in 1.826 at 2120z o'clock, in 24920 at 0934z 21070 at 0927z 1232z. ST2PN -  SUDAN - Paul ST2PN returned to Sudan and it is operating from Khartoum and he hopes to operate soon in RTTY. He also informs that all the applications that he has received via direct, are already being assisted. The Qsl via PA7FM. The log is on-line in http://www.pa7fm.nl  [TNX PA7FM].

TAJIKISTAN - Jean EY8/F5NHJ has been reported in RTTY in 15 meters among 0900-1130z.  The Qsl via F5NHJ.       

9V1CW - SINGAPORE - From October 21 Enno PF5X received its license of the local authorities and its callsign it is 9V1CW informing that it will remain in this country three years, using a FT1000MP and a vertical wide band (GPM-1500 for WiMo) but if it doesn't work satisfactorily, it will put a G5RVjr (10-40m version), but due to its work it cannot be very active, hoping to be in the bands from 80 to 10 meters, but mainly in 30 and 17 meters CW. For Europe 1USD are enough, but to send outside of Europe 2USD they are required. The service of Desk is OK. The Qsl via PA0KHS.

7Q7HB - MALAWI - Allen G0IAS is informing that Harry G0JMU is again active as 7Q7HB from this country where a minimum of 10 weeks will remain, but it only operates in the free whiles after its work. In the week they reported it in 30 meters among 2100-2300z and in 15 meters (CW/SSB) among 1130-1530z. In Malawi the QSL Desk doesn't operate. The Qsl only via direct to G0IAS.

9U - BURUNDI - Richard, F8LPX is already active from where he will be working in the French embassy in Bujumbura during next two years.
