EUGENETIC WARS
A terrible conflict on Earth during the '90s caused by a group of genetically engineered "supermen" who were the result of an ambitious selective-breeding program. The "supermen" felt their superior abilities gave them the right to rule the remainder of humanity, and in 1992 one of such individual, Khan Noonien Singh, rose to power to rule one-fourth of the entire planet. Within a year, his fellow supermen seized power in forty nations. Terrible wars ensued, in part because the supermen fought among themselves. Entire populations were bombed out of existence, and Earth was on the verge of a new dark age. By 1996, the supermen were overthrown. Khan Noonien Singh escaped into space with several of his followers aboard the S.S. Botany Bay.
