KHAN

Genetically engineered human who attempt to gain control of the entire planet Earth in the '90s during the Eugenetics Wars. From 1992 to 1996 Khan was absolute ruler of more than a quater of Earth, from South Asia throught the Middle East. He was the last of the tyrants to be overthrown. Khan escaped in 1996 with a band of followers aboard the S.S. Botany Bay, an old DY-100-class ship equipped with suspend animation facilities.
In 2267 the Starship U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701) discovered the Botany Bay and awakened Khan and his people. Once awakened, Khan attempted to take over the Enterprise, with the help of Lieutenant Marla McGivers, historian aboard the Enterprise, but was thwarted. Captain Kirk exercised command prerogatives in dropping all charged when Khan agreed to be exiled to planet Ceti Alpha V to start a new life.
Khan and his followers remained on Ceti Alpha V for many years, since 2285, until they were accidentally discovered by a scentific reconnaissance party from the Starship U.S.S. Reliant (NCC-1864). Khan commandeered the Reliant and ransacked the nearby Regula I Space Laboratory, sealing the experimental Genesis Device.
Khan, along with his followers, was killed when the Geneis Device exploded on board the Reliant.
