THE BAD
As the proud owner of over 150 slasher films I feel that I can without a doubt state that the following are the worse I've ever seen. Be warned though friends of the website these movies are so bad they may cause actual physical pain.
10.)Don't Go in the Woods... Alone! (1982)-

The Production Values are for the most part, inept. Actors can barely remember their lines, the cinematographer can barely remember how to run the camera, the director can barely remember what he's being paid for, and the murders are almost impossibly suspenseless. All of this plus the single most annoying score in the history of recorded music. You know what though? It makes me laugh my ass off so it can't be that bad.

9.) The Prey (1984)-

Half assed attempt at a slasher film that contains nearly 45 minutes of nature footage. 45 MINUTES!!?!?! So crappy it gave me a headache.

8.) The Unseen (1981)-

Picture an unwashed Stephen Furst (Flounder from Animal House) running around a creepy old house in nothing but a soiled diaper. Got that? Than realize that the body count tops out at four (which includes the killer) and you my friends have a recipe for a turd burglar.

7.) The Forest (1983)-

A movie so bad, so foul, so pathetically piss poor that it tears the very fabric of time and space with the overwhelming power of it's ineptitude.

6.) Blood Tracks (1985)-

Oatmeal faced dullards running amok killing bad actors in poorly edited murder scenes. Proof positive that the Swedes couldn't make a decent slasher flick if their lives and the lives of their families depended on it.

5.) Splatter University (1984)-

The overwhelming stench of Troma permeates this entire shred of cinematic debris from start to finish, and as a matter of fact NO, THAT IS NOT A GOOD THING!!

4.) Satan's Blade (1984)-

zZzZzZzzZzZZzZzzzzzzzz!!!

3.) Savage Weekend (1979)-

Guiness Book world record holder for most visible boom mikes in a feature film features Larry (sans the brothers Darrell) of Newhart fame as the maladjusted antagonist, NUFF SAID!!

2.) Home Sweet Home (1981)-

"Body by" Jake Seinfeld escapes prison, does his body weight in Meth, than waylays a family's Turkey Day festivities in various poorly thought out, ineptly designed murders. Oh, and the family includes the WORLD'S MOST ANNOYING MIME!! Agggggghhhh!!!

1.) Boardinghouse (1982)-

Direct to Video dreck is quite possibly the suckiest sucky movie that ever sucked.

THE GOOD
Ok, up front let me tell you that my criteria for Top 10 BEST lists is different than most. I have a 10 year must rule, I.E the movie must be older than 10 yrs before I'll let it on the list (Not that they've made a worth a shit slasher flick in 10 yrs but it's still a rule.) Also, Entertainment Value is of Paramount importance... Plot second. So without further ado here's my damn list.
10.)The Burning (1981)-

Cropsy the disfigured caretaker and his steely hedgeclippers of death make this MUST SEE SLASH TV. The the raft scene alone in all of it's crimson glory land's this puppy on the top 10 the cheesiness is just gravy freinds of the website, just gravy.Seek it out now, thats an order!!

9.) Bloody Valentine (1981)-

Ok here's my MBV rant....Somewhere out there there is an UNCUT version of this flick..I have the stills to prove it, in it's CUT version it's great but if the gore were left intact it would be that much better. Someone,ANYONE please release the UNCUT version now... DAMMMMIT!!

8.) Prowler (1980) -

Although the plot is a bit slow and flawed, the brutal gore scenes make it well worth while, pitchfork violence, a nice bayonet to the skull and quite the shotgun blast finale.See it now so you can cease being an embarassment to your family.

7.) Alice Sweet Alice (1976) -

Excellent little thriller/slasher that has an excellent throat slashing of a priest....in a church, need I go on? I didn't think so.

6.) Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)-

As little as I care for Mr.Kreuger and his wacky sarcastic hijinx this movie is still a must have. Skip all the sequels though as they suck like an 8 lb Orec vacuum cleaner.

5.) Halloween II (1981)-

Worthy sequel takes place immediately after the end of the first one.More blood, less suspense which can only be a good thing.

4.) Friday the 13th (1980)-

"Kill her Mommy...Kill her" this movie needs no intro, nor any explanation. There are only like 6 people who havn't seen this. Do you wanna be one of those people?

3.) Halloween (1978)-

Not the first slasher flick as popularly believed but definitely one of the all time best.If you haven't seen this yet I'm curious as to why you've chosen to be so pathetic.

2.) Black Christmas (1974)-

"What your father and I must know is..where is the baby?!?" Movie that pre-dates the one credited as start of sub-genre by 4 years. A twisted classic which set the template for every slasher that came after it. Everyone should see this movie lest they be considered lame.

1.) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)-

People say it isn't a slasher flick, well let's see... teenagers, remote location, psycho with a bloody instrument of destruction, final girl..hmm..think about it that's basically the same as every slasher ever made!! Easily the greatest Horror flick of all time.
