HINGSTON HILL STONE CIRCLE & ROW Hingston Hill stone circle lies near to Down Tor at the east of Burrator Reservoir. The monument is a Bronze Age relic (2,000 - 500 years BC) consisting of a burial chamber surrounded by standing stones. The two stones to the left of the picture are part of a 1,145 feet long stone row which leads to the circle. To run here on a fine evening with the sun sinking low in the west is a fantastic experience.
